What did you learn about technology
facilitation and leadership from
completing this field experience?
This was my initial contact with student
since he was moved into my class. I
learned from this that the student could
easily use the resource to gain an
advantage over his classmates and close
monitoring and restrictions would need
to be utilized.

A large of component of this experience
involved me being able to know where
the line of fair for the student in the short

term vs long term was located. Being


able to use a laptop on an assessment can
easily skew itself towards immediate
success, but autocorrect is present it can
hinder the students ability to grow in his
ability to write well without it.

There is a great deal of


personalization and care that goes
into the adaptation of lessons for
students with learning disabilities.
Also with this differentiation, I need
to be sure that I am also adhering to
his therapy recovery plan.

1. Briefly describe the field experience.


What did you learn about technology
facilitation and leadership from
completing this field experience?

I paid careful attention to insuring


that he was able to successfully
complete the task that required that
research border disputes in colonial
Latin America and draw them on a
map, while citing the treating that
resolved the dispute. His therapist
and I felt that this would be a good
bridge between his therapy and
accommodations.

For this student I needed to establish a
partnership with his therapist as his
condition is temporary. She and I learned
to work coorperatively so that our work

does not oppose one another.
