Thank you so much for taking the time to help out what we are doing here across

the area with ProjeXt Hope! I want you to know that we are incredibly grateful for
your help, and are looking forward to working with you to help shine a light into the
lives of so many individuals. Many have asked why? Why get involved in such an
issue. The answer is simple really. There are thousands of victims who cannot speak
up, and by raising awareness, we can help others see the reality of this issue and
give them the opportunity to help speak up!
We are just a few days away from the event, and I know many have been wondering
how the day will play out. Here are the details.
Date: June 27th
Time: 10am-6pm (Volunteer arrival no later than 9:50am)
*Pizza will be provided to all volunteers at each location at 2pm
6pm-8pm tear down of stands

We are so excited that we officially have 12 locations around the southwest

Michigan area! Some teams have been attached to individual locations, but we are
still asking volunteers to show up and help out! We would love for each stand to be

*Each stand will open at 10am, so we ask each team to be there no later than
9:50am.
**Depending on the location, getting the word out will be different. Some locations
will need more banner waving on the side of the road, while others will need person
to person talking.
All Stands will be set up by 10am, so volunteers do not have to worry about set up.
We do ask that volunteers stay a few minutes late to help tear down so that
everyone can make it to after party.
Each stand will include:
Table, Cooler, Ice, Cups, Garbage Bag, Flyers (to hand out), Permanent Markers,
Signs, and Water Bottles.
Dress Code: We do ask that you wear respectful clothing for the event. While there
are no specific requirements, if you have red or white, wear that! Pay attention to
the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
Countenance: This whole event is riding on the volunteers ability to reach out and
promote the lemonade stands. So when people walk by, smile, wave, and reach out
by simply saying hi. You don't even necessarily need to ask them to donate, all you
have to do, is set an atmosphere where they feel comfortable.
We know that 10am-6pm is a long time to stand, but we also know that being
energetic and positive will greatly affect the outreach ProjeXt Hope has. If you need
to bring a camping chair, that is alright!
Flyers will be printed shortly, and a copy will be posted for all to see. We know that
some may ask questions at the stands, and we want to make sure all of our
volunteers have the information they need to answer these questions to the best of
their ability. We will make sure every table has an information packet of facts and
contact info in case someone needs more questions answered.

We want to do our best as a community to shine the light of Christ, and we have
seen Gods instrumental plan played out day by day! We truly believe ProjeXt Hope
has been blessed by God, and we want to return that blessing to the many lives
enslaved around the world and right here in Michigan.
We encourage everyone to bring friends, family, and neighbors to help out at a
table! The more people the better!
Social Media will play a HUGE part in the success of the event day! We ask that
everyone take a picture, tweet, post, send snapchats on that day and tell everyone
they know about what ProjeXt Hope is doing in the community! We have the
hashtag #projeXthope that we use, and we will have a snapchat filter for anyone
in the west Michigan area to use!
*We want to thank all the volunteers for coming out on the day off! So starting at
8pm, we will be throwing an after party at Pine Lake for anyone who wants to join!
Please bring a suit and prepared to have a blast! Address for the party is 967 Scenic
View Drive, Plainwell, Michigan 49080.
If there are any questions regarding the event day, please call me directly at 269370-9489
I also encourage you to please pray for June 27 th. That ProjeXt Hope can fulfill Gods
vision for the southwest Michigan area, in raising awareness against Human
Trafficking.
Thank you so much for giving your time to this cause!

Questions that may be asked:

If I donate, where is the money going?
All funds raised by ProjeXt Hope go directly to the END IT Movement, a group
out of Atlanta GA led by Pastor Louie Giglio that helps survivors and victims
around the globe.
I have never met or seen a victim of human trafficking. How do you know
this even exists?
Many times victims cannot speak up about the pain and trials that they are or
have been. Some feel that it brings shame. Others feel that they are
powerless. Individuals all around the area are entrapped in slavery, and
though we cannot see them, they need people to speak up in their place.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice's statistics on human trafficking, 2,515 incidents of
human trafficking were recorded nationwide between January 2008 and June 2010. Of those
incidents, 1,016 involved the sexual exploitation of a child, 1,218 involved the sexual exploitation
of adults, and 350 involved labor trafficking. Each year the Federal Government publishes
the Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report in order to release progress, allow for suggestions, and
polish any current methods.

Human trafficking is not a choice. A person cannot consent to become enslaved. Victims want
to escape, but cannot.

Human trafficking is not smuggling. Smuggling is transportation; trafficking is exploitation.

Human trafficking does not require that a victim be moved over state or international borders.

Approximately 17,500 foreign nationals are trafficked into the U.S. every year.

Human trafficking is a $32 billion global industry.

Children are especially vulnerable:

40 percent of human trafficking cases involve the sexual exploitation of a child.

Between 100,000 and 300,000 children are at risk for sexual exploitation in the U.S. with an
average age of 11 to 14 years old.

It is estimated that 76 percent of transactions for sex with underage girls start on the Internet.

Are there other groups in the area that do the same thing?
Yes there are! Destiny Rescue, The Manasseh Project, and WAR International (Women At Risk)
Who put this together?
A few students from around the area who desire to see lives changed! Joey Gamrat, Hannah
Grimmer, Ryan McDonald, Abi Kline.
Can I donate via Credit Card?
You can donate on the website www.projexthope.com or donate here at the stand via the tablet.
