One: Give thanks to the Lord because God is good,
All: because Gods faithful love lasts forever!
One: Some wandered, lost and afraid,
All: but God heard their cries, and offered signs of peace.
One: Some were hungry and thirsty,
All: but God saw their distress, and offered signs of love.

OPENING PRAYER
God, there are times in our lives when we ask if you are with us,
and wonder if you hear our cries.
In our times of pain and confusion, send us signs of your presence.
In our times of worry and fear, send us signs of your peace.
In our times of hunger and thirst, give us a sign of your love.
Remind us that we never wander without you.
Remind us to turn toward you in our distress.
Remind us of the times when you have been faithful to us in the past,

Free Tickets to Hot Summer Nights Childrens Concert
Series - The Missouri Symphony Society has provided us with free
tickets to the family and childrens concert series performances this
summer. If you would like some free tickets for you and your family,

Nametags - We would like to give a warm welcome to Rev.

June 23: Social Justice Book Club will meet June 23 at 7 p.m.in
CLC room 107. We will discuss chapters 4, 5, and 6. Contact

July 1: The Missouri United Methodist Foundation Board will be
accepting applications for grants at the July meeting. Applications
should address the religious, charitable and educational activities of
the church. Application forms are available at the church office.
July 9: Christmas in July Dinner Donations and Volunteers
Needed - This dinner provides food for more than 400 people.
Children enjoy a visit from Santa and craft activities. Donations of
cash, food, childrens activity books and crayons are needed. For

Author to Visit UMW Book Club - The Wednesday morning
United Methodist Women Book Club is thrilled to announce that
George Hodgman, the author of the New York Times best-selling
memoir, Bettyville, will be their guest on Wednesday, July 8 at 10 a.m.
in the CLC Atrium. George will read selections from his book and
a question-and-answer time will follow. All members of MUMC
are warmly invited to join us for this special event. For more

Want to Help in Guatemala? The Guatemala VIM team is
recruiting membersfor the Feb. 14 to 21, 2016, trip. If you are
interested or want more info, contact Melissa Clarke at 442-3130,

Haiti Clean Water Team sent a team of 11 to Furcy, Haiti on
May 24-28 to provide clean water to 100 families living there.
Sponsorships: A donation of $300 sponsors a students deposit to
be a part of our team for the next trip. Sponsors receive a special
meal where students share stories and pictures from their trip.
