Feasibility Study
Market Study
We chose Pasig City as our location because it is literally the center of National
Capital Region (NCR) since our primary target market are the yuppies (young
urban professionals) we thought that it would be best if we place our spa resort in
an highly accessible and established city.
Location
The City of Pasig is one of the 16 cities that make up the National Capital Region.
It is one of the highly urbanized cities of Metro Manila in the Philippines and was
the former capital of the province of Rizal prior to the formation the National
Capital Region. A formerly rural settlement, Pasig is
primarily residential and industrial, but has been becoming
increasingly commercial in recent years, particularly after the construction of

the Ortigas Center business district in its east.

Area
Pasig City has a total area of 48.46 km2. Located along the eastern border of Metro
Manila, Pasig is bordered on the west by Quezon City and Mandaluyong; to the
north by Marikina; to the south by Makati, Pateros, and Taguig; and to the east
by Antipolo, the municipality of Cainta and Taytay in the province of Rizal. Pasig is
politically subdivided into 30 barangays. Its barangays are grouped into two
districts for city council representation purposes. The first district encompasses the
southern and western sections of the city, while the second district encompasses
the northern and eastern sections.
Climate
The climate in the area is mild. Rainfall occurs mostly from June to October due to
the southwest monsoon. The dry season starts in November and ends in May
registering a warm mean temperature of 29.2 C. The coldest month is January.
The normal relative humidity is 77 percent, which is highest from July to September.
The northeast wind normally occurs during the months of January, February,
October, November, and December while the southwest and southeast wind occur
at shorter periods from June to September and March to May, respectively.
