Annual Fast 2010

Begin Fast on Wednesday, February 17th, 2010
Break Fast on Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

WORKSHEET

1. Decide how you and your family are going to Fast during this 7 day period. What
is God
asking you to sacrifice? (examples: all sugar and sweets, deserts, sodas,
television, meats, certain meals each day, all food on certain days, drinking only
fruit juices on certain days, or drinking only water on certain days.)

2. Decide what you are going to do in regards to prayer and reading God’s Word
during this
7 day period. Is God asking you to read the Bible and pray at a specific time(s)
each day?

3. Decide what you are going to be asking God to do for you during this 7 day
period. Is there
a bondage in your life that needs to be broken? Are there areas of your life that
have not
been surrendered to God? Do you need a physical healing? Is there a specific
provision you
are needing?

4. Decide what you are going to be asking God to do for your family during this 7
day period.
Is there a member of your family that isn’t “walking with the Lord?” Is there a
specific
financial need your family has? Is anyone in your family in need of healing?

5. Decide what you are going to be asking God to do for your church during this 7
day period.
Are there members of the church that need God to do the impossible for them?
Such as,
financial provision, restored marriages, physical or emotional healing, and issues
related to
direction for their lives. Are there ministries of the church God wants you to be
praying for?
How does God want you to be praying for spiritual renewal? How does God want
you to be
praying for growth?

6. Decide what you are going to be asking God to do for your community during
this 7 day period. How does God want you to be praying for the people at work,
school, or in your
neighborhood? How does God want you to be praying for spiritual awakening
and harvest?

Kingsway’s Annual Seven Day Fast

1. The purpose of fasting is to change our hearts!

Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they
shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me
with their whole heart. (Jeremiah 24:7)

2. The right attitude during a fast is joyful sacrifice!

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart
- these, O God, You will not despise. (Psalm 51:17)

3. The reward of fasting is a deeper relationship with Christ!

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to
God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

4. The benefits of fasting are ...

• Greater self-control: the ability to deny self leads to an
outward focus.
• Greater brokenness: our hearts become humble before God.
• Greater receptivity: a climate is created for the Holy Spirit to
speak.
• Greater power: the power of God is released in greater
dimension.
• Greater ministry: we position ourselves for greater usefulness.
