Series Info and Outline

The POG miniseries will expand upon the concepts that are going to be introduced in the
upcoming second season cartoon episode The Powers of Grayskull. This miniseries will
feature the first adventure of He-Ro, who is destined to become King Grayskull later in the
series, where we will also learn the origin of the Castle of Grayskull and its mysterious
powers.
The difference between the MVC story and the MYP episode will be covered at the
beginning of the series. We will learn that the events covered by the cartoon are a
simplified version of the real story; a sort of fairy tale told to Prince Adam by the Sorceress.
The whole series will follow a structure similar to the episode, but with greater detail, even
to the point that the physical difference between He-Ro and King Grayskull will be
explained.
Many of the elements incorporated into the series originate from the classic canon and
many other sources such as the Mattel style guides and Filmation series bible. The
purpose of this bible is to tie all those elements together in a new cohesive canon.
Young Gray, ancestor of He-Man, raised under the tutelage of tribal chieftain Sharella and
mentor Eldor, is brought to a mysterious cave where he is transformed into He-Ro, the
most powerful wizard in the universe. Eldor and Gray, will travel across Eternia collecting
the magics of the dismembered Book of the Living Spells, acquiring the powers and
learning the wisdom that will finally transform him into the King of Castle Grayskull!
The regular series will develop in arcs, while the main story will slowly progress with many
subplots developing. Single issue stories are possible from time to time.
The core of each story arc is represented by He-Ro's quest for one of the living spells.
With the Book scattered throughout Eternia He-Ro must face a new and exciting challenge
in order to acquire that particular special power. Each time He-Ro will store the spell within
his Staff of Wisdom. On occasion He-Ro will also face moral dilemmas, and hence learn
new lessons about love, friendship, wisdom, etc. The resolution of the moral dilemma will
often be the key to solving the problem and finally obtaining one of the lost spells.
At the beginning of the story He-Ro will be written with a somewhat vacant personality, an
individual who has a great deal to learn (he lost his memory).
The second most important character of the series will be young Keldor (journeying from
the future). In a role somewhat opposite of He-Ro, Keldor will demonstrate how people can
make bad decisions that affect their future. His selfish nature will slowly be reveled, but
initially he will be a character that almost befriends He-Ro, sometimes helping our hero,
sometimes competing with him.
Keldor will not be completely evil, but we will see the early foundations and character traits
that will lead him to become the lord of destruction, Skeletor! Keldor is on a secret mission
given to him in the future. He will explore the past of Eternia also looking for the Book of
the Living Spells, sometimes helping He-Ro, sometimes King Hiss, or even the Unnamed.

The background of the series will be the Second Great War, where the Snake Men are
fighting the Eternians.
Behind the scenes, we will learn the secret plots of the Unnamed and his servant.
These are the main objectives of the series:
The moral quests He-Ro will find himself on will incorporate the morals from the classic
series: we will see Gray evolving; growing from a wild teenager into a wise, sympathetic,
strong leader.
He-Ro will evolve into the King Grayskull we recognize from the MYP series when, in order
to save his endangered life, he receives the magical blood of the giant Tytus. The magic
blood physically transforms his mass bestowing him with incredible strength!
If Mattel embrace this series with a possible toy line the single powers and living spells
concept may spark a collectible aspect within the series. The living spells can be
creatures, other characters that have acquired the powers, or artifacts of which people will
lay claim to. These story points can translate very well into the collectibles market.
The series will focus on magic and creatures rather than technology and vehicles.
Technology will still be a part of the ongoing story, but play a much smaller role than in
previous canons. This time around technology will be represented as a secret magical
science, almost beyond human comprehension.
Throughout our stories we will watch the history of Eternia develop, whilst learning more
about the Snake Men, Hordak, Horde Prime, the Cosmic Enforcers, etc.
The first adventure will be introduced by more familiar characters, with He-Man traveling
into the past searching for Skeletor as seen in the POG minicomic. At some point Orko will
remain in the past, thus becoming He-Ros sidekick, as in the classic series.

HEROES

He-Ro/Gray

The hero of our story. Young Gray was raised under the tutelage of the tribal chieftess,
Sharella, and his mentor Eldor. Gray still has much to learn about life. He is a wild
teenager reluctant to undertake the difficult destiny awaiting him.
Taken by Eldor to a mysterious cave, Gray was imbued with a great power that changed
his life and the history of Eternia. The exact details of what transpired in the cave remain a
closely guarded secret, but Eldor makes cryptic allusions...references to the boys
mysterious past, amazing legacy...and to an astonishing task which Gray accomplished
that day in the cave.
By placing one hand on his heart, Gray causes an amazing transformation to occur,
becoming the He-Ro of Grayskull, the most powerful wizard in the universe.
However, whilst He-Ro possesses amazing raw power, over the course of the story he
must learn how to use it and more importantly how to use it to bring peace to Eternia.
(see 1987 Mattel style guide)
In order to learn the way of good and the magic, He-Ro needs to travel through Eternia to
locate and assemble the Living Spells from the ancient book. He-Ros quest will allow him
to acquire a strong moral and learn about justice, compassion, friendship and love.

Collecting the Living Spells he will acquire their powers within the Staff of Wisdom,
increasing his skills as a wizard. By doing this, He-Ro will actually collect and build the
Powers of Grayskull, a quest that will lead him to become the King of Castle Grayskull.
Much later in the series, after a terrible fight with Hordak, He-Ro's life will be in mortal
danger. The Oracle reveals to the heroes that the only way to save the valiant warrior is by
obtaining the magical blood of a giant. The Oracle warns that the solution is one fraught
with danger as mixing the blood of a human and a giant could result in death to the
individual. Having been exposed to the powers of the Starseed, He-Ro will be able to
resist to the terrible magic of the blood donated by the giant Tytus. The transfusion will not
be without its consequences though, as Grays physical form transforms into a half-giant
(with his hair turning blonde like Tytus'). This will explain why the King Grayskull character
we see in the cartoon is so radically different from He-Ro and will also work the giant Tytus
into the story with an important role.
He-Ro will also build the Castle and forge the Sword of Power and the Sword of Protection
during the series.
The purpose of the Powersword is exactly the same as the one in the classic minicomic: it
is the key with the ability to unlock all the Powers of Grayskull.
Once He-Ro is transformed into King Grayskull, he decides he alone cannot be the sole
recipient of the spells of the Book and the powers of the Starseed, and builds Castle
Grayskull. When the Council of the Wise decides to bury the Three Towers to take them
away from King Hiss claws, all the ancient powers and secrets are transferred and hidden
within the Castle. Then a sword is magically forged to be the key to the Castle and its
powers.

The amazing legacy of Gray and what really happened in the cave:
(this is confidential and should not be revealed for a long time!)
Gray is the secret heir to the legendary house of Grayskull, and the Oracle predicts that
the young man will be the savior of Eternian and the universe.
His mother was the spirit of an ancient that fell in love with a noble human during the first
of the Great Wars. She chose to become a human and married the man she loved,
subsequently giving birth to a child. All knew that the child would possess incredible
powers due to his Ancient and human heritage. He would remain a normal human being
until touched by the power of the Starseed, the source of the Ancients' life force.
That day his destiny would have been revealed and Gray would have evolved into a
powerful being. (for the Starseed, see the classic Filmation episode: The Search)
Before Gray was born the Planet Infinitia fell to the Ancient being Nordor. Banished by the
other Ancients, he promised vengeance and cursed Grayskull, swearing he would take
their child.
The fall of Eternia's twin world left the Ancients drained and they took solace in a crypt
under the Central Tower. Only when the balance on Eternia was reestablished would they
rise again.
Nordor lost his name and shape, and became the Unnamed. (For Infinitia references, see
Filmation series bible)
The Unnamed One was now free of his enemies, but as he was not an Ancient anymore,
he was unable access or use the power of the Starseed. He desired an individual that
could take the Starseed and use it for him. That being was the newborn Gray.
To protect him, on Eldors suggestion, Gray, still a child, was taken away from his family,
hidden and given to the tribe under the tutelage of Sharella.
But one fateful day Gray entered the mysterious cavern which lead to the pit of the
Starseed, near the center of Eternia (directly under the Central Tower). The Unnamed One
tempted the newly born He-Ro by revealing his past and offering him the chance to rule
the universe at his side. The Unnamed struck Eldor, leaving him badly hurt! He-Ro, seeing
the evil in the adversary and feeling great compassion for Eldor, a father figure in his life
chose to fight the Unnamed One and used all his power against him, virtually destroying
the renegade Ancient. With the Starseed close to him, He-Ro had great power within his
grasp, but he just chose to use the almighty power to restore Eldor's wound and save his
life. But the task was too much and He-Ro turned back to Gray and remained
unconscious...
Later on when he woke up, he had completely forgotten what happened and most of his
memory was blank.

Eldor

Eldor is a very old wizard, though not completely human.

In this series he has the role that Man-At-Arms and (in part) the Sorceress had in the
classic series: he is the counselor to Gray and He-Ro, and the expert magician of the
Council of the Wise. His origin is a secret, but he has been a loyal ally to the house of
Grayskull since the first Great War and the fall of Infinitia.
Possibly Eldor has the same origins as Hordak; an entity generated directly by the
ancients, but not as powerful. He has been chosen to be the keeper of the Book of the
Living Spells and once the Book was dismembered during the war for Infinitia he was
given the task to collect the lost spells with the aid of He-Ro.
As a guide for Gray, he will try to shape the boys' personality, teaching him wisdom and
love. In the series he will be the one that helps He-Ro when the warrior needs help. Eldor
should never offer the solution, but help He-Ro to find it by himself, especially when the
young man is faced with a moral dilemma.

10

Zodac

A member of the Council of the Wise, a great fighter and martial arts expert, Zodac is a
loyal friend and ally to He-Ro and Eldor. However he will become more motivated by
vengeance after his brother Zelar, chosen before him to be a Cosmic Enforcer, was killed
by King Hiss.
Zodac's journey will be one of a man who seeks vengeance, but realize that he will need
to overcome these feelings in order to become wiser for the greater good. Later Zodac will
be chosen to become one of the Cosmic Enforcers by the Overlords of the Eternal
Dimension.

11

Sharella
Chieftain of the (tribe), Sharella has been given the task to raise Gray by Eldor. She is a
young woman but becomes a mother figure for Gray. She does not know his secret
identity and is very protective with her adopted child even if, being a warrior woman, at
times she finds it difficult to openly show her feelings.
Sharella is strong and has many fighting skills
As a child she was wounded in a mysterious battle, and is thus unable to conceive children
at a later age. Subsequently she considers Gray a most wonderful gift.
Sharella rides on the queen of the battle cats, a giant albino tiger, mother of Gray's tiger
pet. (see 1987 Mattel style guide)

12

Orko/the Oracle

He-Man's little Trollan sidekick will be an integral and important part of the Power of
Grayskull storyline as well.
Stumbling into the past after an adventure with He-Man, Orko remains stuck in He-Ro's
time and befriends young Gray. Orko (after many adventures with He-Man) has grown a
little wiser, and find out his magical abilities work much better in the past!
Over the course of the series, Orko will become He-Ro's consciousness and will lead him
when Eldor is not around. His knowledge of the future will earn him the name of The
Oracle a joking title, but one that will actually become the little wizards destiny.
He will be the one who will guide He-Ro through his final adventures (once Eldor has
gone) showing him the way to become the King of Grayskull. His once-awkward magic will
take part in the creation of the Powersword!

13

Man-At-Arms (not Duncan)

This character will be the first on Eternia to earn the title of Man-At-Arms, and start the
tradition.
He will be the weapons expert and strategic consultant of the Council of the Wise.
In this series he will be less a man of technology, as humans have still very little
technology on Eternia. His skill will be in crafting metals and weapons, and he may play a
role in the creation of the Powersword as well.
He will become one of the first Guardians of Grayskull.
It may be worth including a story that references the Witches of Fire (for the Witches of
Fire reference see the classic Filmation episode: The Dragons Gift)

14

The Council of the Wise

The Council of the Wise is comprised on important mortal beings from across the universe.
They meet in the Hall of Wisdom, within the Central Tower.
While they do not rule Eternia or the universe, they are the wise beings to whom the rulers
of the various kingdoms turn to for advice. They are all bestowed with great power, but not
as great as the Ancients themselves. The council members are all derived from the
Ancients and the Starseed.

The treachery of the Unnamed and King Hiss will lead to the disbanding of the Council of
the Wise and prompt the creation of the Cosmic Enforcers

15

Veena

The daughter of the Great Father of the House of Swan, she will be the love interest of
Gray. She will become the first Sorceress of Grayskull after He-Ros death.
Her mission will be to restore the Honor of Grayskull after the final plot of the Unnamed
makes everyone believe He-Ro has betrayed Eternia!

16

The Ancients
The Ancients are divine beings who created the universe using the Starseed. They are
not, however, the ultimate gods of the universe and they did not create the Starseed. They
were given the task of creating the universe by the Overlords of the Eternal Dimension,
which exists beyond our space and time. They rule and maintain peace within the
universe. Their existence is bound to Eternia and Infinitia, which are not just two mere
planets, but the original land of all life, power and knowledge. Eternia and Infinitia
represent the extension of the space, in time and dimensions.
(for the Overlords of the Eternal Dimension reference, see the classic episode The
Golden Disks of Knowledge)
The Ancients reside in the Central Tower of the Hall of Wisdom, served by Eldor, Hordak
and Noah.
The beings wrote all their knowledge in the ancient Book of the Living Spells, where all the
secrets and rules of the universe have been stored.
When the first Great War was fought and Infinitia destroyed due to the treachery of Nordor,
the Ancients lost much of their power, prompting them to rest for thousands of years in the
crypt under the Central Tower.
At one point the Book of the Living Spell was dismembered and all the pages fell on
Eternia. Eldor, as the keeper of the Book, was given the task to reassemble the book,
while protection of the universe was left to the Council of the Wise formed by mortal living
beings.
But a few members of the council were corrupted by the Unnamed and planned to take
control of the Hall of Wisdom.
The Council of the Wise broke up and a couple of its members were summoned by the
Overlords of the Eternal Dimensions to create the Cosmic Enforcers (Zodac and the Alien
member)
(This will happen during the series)

17

The Faceless one

Member of the Council of the Wise from the great city of Zalesia. He is the keeper of the
Ram Stone and possesses the Havoc Staff, one of the keys of Eternia.
Later in the series, to protect Eternia against the Horde of the Unnamed, He-Ro and a
group of wizards cast a spell to isolate and protect the planet, banishing the Horde from
Eternia. The spell from the Book is cast so that a few keys exist, allowing occasional
passages through the barrier. The Havoc Staff is one of the keys.
Keldor was sent to the past by Hordak to seek out and retrieve the Havoc Staff.
The Faceless one has a child, Evil-Lyn, a child he was not supposed to have. To save her
he makes a deal with King Hiss and later, when the deal turns sour, Zalesia is destroyed
and in an effort to save the child gives her to Keldor who promises to care for her in
exchange for the Havoc Staff. (We will probably use this plot as the base for a story in a
second batch of Icons of Evil, or in Volume Three of our regular comic showing this in
flashback form for Evil-Lyns origin)
He will then be transformed by the Elders into the Faceless One as punishment.
18

The House of Grayskull

During the fall of Infinitia a tribe from the north of Eternia stood at the side of the Ancients
against the uprising dark forces. They were the Gray Skulls, an honorable tribe of warriors.
Many of them died during the first Great War, but the few remaining warriors were
recognized as heroes and honored, allowing them to sit next to the Ancients representing
mankind itself on the Council of the Wise.
A tower was built next to the Central Tower and in their honor it was named Grayskull
Tower.
During the first Great War, the chief of the Gray Skulls fell in love with one of the Ancients,
who became human, marrying him and giving birth to a child.
By that time Infinitia had fallen and the Ancients were exhausted retreating into the Central
Tower's crypt.
To protect the newborn Gray, Eldor suggested hiding the child and giving him to Sharella,
of the Green Tigers tribe.

19

The House of Swan

At the beginning of the story the noble and peaceful House of Swan is responsible for the
House of Wisdom. There is a rivalry of sorts between the Swans and the Grayskulls.
Lord Bryon is the Great Father of the house and his daughter, Veena has fallen in love
with Gray. Lord Bryon does not approve of his daughters love.

20

The Overlords of the Eternal Dimension

The true Gods of the MOTU world!
The Overlords of the Eternal Dimension exist beyond time and space and created the
Ancients and the Starseed.
They create the Cosmic Enforcers to keep the universe balanced until the Ancients awake
from their sleep. (for the Overlords of the Eternal Dimension reference, see the classic
episode The Golden Disks of Knowledge)

21

The Cosmic Enforcers

The Ancients were victorious in the first Great War and Nordor had been defeated. But the
fall of Infinitia left them almost powerless and unable to fulfill their role in the universe.
While they were restoring themselves in the crypt of the Central Tower (a process that
would last thousands of years), the Overlords of the Eternal Dimension sought individuals
that could maintain the universal balance and prevent the dark forces from taking control.
The chosen ones were assembled into the Cosmic Enforcers, a powerful group that were
given great power, but not power equal to the Ancients due to the incident of Nordor!

22

The Guardians of Grayskull

After the death of He-Ro a group of warriors formed a secret society to protect the secrets
of the Castle until a new hero would appear to reclaim the Sword of Power. Throughout
the centuries, the Man-At-Arms of Eternia were an integral part of this society, making
sure that the rulers of the planet never tried to claim the power for themselves The
members of the council keep their affiliation secret, even from their kings.
In the present, after many members have been killed during the Great Unrest, former ManAt-Arms, Dekker, passes the burden of leading and recruiting a new group of Guardians to
his pupil Duncan. While serving under Captain Randor, Duncan forms an elite group of
warriors...
Besides Duncan, other living Guardians include Illumina, a Gar woman with light powers,
and an individual that even Duncan cannot remember, Tri-Klops!
All the Guardians of Grayskull members wear a special ring with the Grayskull insignia.
(see the classic Warrior Ring toy included with Trap-Jaw and Tri-Klops figures)

23

Mother Tetsudo

Member of the Council of the Wise. She is very old and wise, and often even Eldor will
seek her advice.

24

Tytus

Before mortals walked on Eternia and Infinitia the Giants and Beasts lived alongside the
Ancients; Tytus is now one of the last remaining giants on the planet.
Tytus was saved by He-Ros father during the first Great War and is now a powerful ally to
the House of Grayskull. He often appears to help He-Ro in battle.
Like the other Giants, Tytus blood has the ability to heal people, but it is also a risky
process. When He-Ro's life is in danger, Tytus donates some of his blood to save him, but
this transforms He-Ro into a half-giant!
25

Alien Council Member

From an advanced alien race living a great distance from the planet Eternia, this being is
chosen as one of the first Cosmic Enforcers and helps develop the technology to fight the
Hordes. Despite their scientific values, these aliens are also a very spiritual race that
strongly believe in the will of the Overlords of the Eternal Dimension.

26

VILLAINS

27

Keldor

The lost half-brother of Captain Randor, the embittered, aspiring wizard Keldor
disappeared during one of his experiments, finding himself transported to Horde World.
There he met Hordak and became his pupil, learning as much as he could about the dark
arts as possible.
Hordak sent Keldor on a mission into the ancient past of Eternia to claim one of the keys in
order to penetrate the magical barrier surrounding Eternia and Grayskull, hoping to
accomplish an elaborate plan put into place by Horde Prime!
During his trip into the past, Keldor meets King Hiss and the Unnamed, but also comes
face to face with He-Ro and the two strike up a rivalry of sorts, both collecting the lost
Living Spells.
Keldor is not a villain during this series, but he will slowly make decisions that shape his
evil destiny. There will be moments where we will see him perform good deeds and care
about other people.

28

But over the course of time we will see Keldor become egoistical and choose a completely
different path than that of He-Ro. Keldors role in the series will be to show how a persons
choices can greatly affect their lives.
But sometimes Keldor will win over He-Ro and do the right thing. Those will be the
occasions where He-Ro fails in his mission. The difference will be that Gray will learn from
his mistakes, whereas Keldor will only become more frustrated, angry and desperate!
At the end the series Keldor will find the key (the Havoc Staff) and will return to the future
where Hordak will eventually transform him into Skeletor in an effort to save his life. It is
important that the physical transformation will be the last step in the characters
transformation. The transformation of Keldor into Skeletor will be a slow process which will
happen over the course of the series.
He will return to the future bringing with him the Faceless One's young daughter in order to
save her from the destruction caused by the Snake Men.
Keldor's extended origin:
Keldor was raised by Mather, a Gar being who sought vengeance over Miro, whom she
believed was responsible for crimes against her race and family. During the war she
seduced Miro and had a child by him, and she hopes to have her child Keldor now seize
control of Miro's kingdom.
Unfortunately She does not know the crimes had not been committed by Randor's father
but by Count Marzo, governor of the Gar region under Miro.

29

The Unnamed (Nordor)

Once defeated by He-Ro, the ghost of the Unnamed will find refuge in the fallen world of
Infinitia, where he will build a cyborg body for himself and lay the foundations for a huge
intergalactic army. He will later be known as Horde Prime!
Part of his essence remained on Eternia though, and was later imprisoned in the
Shakarran Crystal. (see MVC series Volume One)

30

Prince Hiss/King Hiss

Son of Zilora (seen in the classic episode The Time Corridor) and a Snake Man, Prince
Hiss has evil plans involving his people. Evil by nature, he embraces his Snake Men
heritage and kills his entire family, becoming king of the Snake Men and the only half
breed.
He calls upon his Snake Men arm, leading the cursed warriors across Eternia. The curse
of the Snake Men will only be broken by a goddess but no one knows who she is or
when she will appear. On that day the Snake Men will live in peace once more. Until then,
the Snake Men will be an evil force working for the darkest of the beings.
King Hiss establishes his headquarters in the Viper Tower. From there he plans to destroy
his enemies by awakening one of the Ancient Beast: Serpos.

31

Hordak

Servant of Ancients and Noah's apprentice, Hordak is from the same breed of magical
beings such as Eldor. He is one of the engineers who helped build the Central Tower.
Hordak was fascinated by Nordors vision and became his secret ally, infiltrating the
Council of the Wise.
Destroyed for the first time in his battle against Eldor, the Horde Wizards (his secret
agents) recreate his body from stone, while his head remains a skull.
He has great magical power but also an understanding of technology above all others. He
builds the first artificial body which contains part of the Unnameds essence. He also helps
transform many creatures into war machines (see Bionatops, Turbodactyl and
Tyrantisaurus Rex).
We do not learn his allegiance until later in the series. Until then, he remains a secondary
character. Sometimes we will see him disguised as one of the Horde Wizards, but there
will not be a direct connection (Darth Sidius and Chancellor Palpatine in Star Wars
prequels).
In the future of the regular MOTU series we will learn how Horde Prime and Hordaks
32

intention was to find a way back to Eternia, now protected by the poisonous magical
barrier of Despondos.
As a young wizard, Keldor managed to contact him across the dimensions and had been
sent into the past in order to retrieve one of the key to Despondos. He later informed him
that the rulers of the planet had just given birth to twins, a boy and girl.
Knowing the prophecy, the Evil Horde made its move and asked Keldor to help them to
kidnap the twins with the help of the Havoc staff (on of the keys). But they managed to get
one child, the girl, Adora.
Adora is raised by Hordak and Shadow Weaver and sent out into Etheria as the Force
Captain. The plan is to use her and hers powers against Grayskull, once they can find a
way back to Eternia.

33

Snake Face

Priest of the Snake Men, Snake Face has the ability to turn other living beings into stone.
He is loyal to Zilora and to the prophecy that a Goddess will come to redeem them.

34

Megator

Megator is one of the last remaining Giants on Eternia whose savage and evil nature leads
him to ally himself with the Unnamed.

35

The House of Hiss

From the tribe of the Snakes, Zilora and her family formed the House of Hiss and an
alliance with the Snake Men. Her son, Prince Hiss eventually kills most of his family and
becomes the King of the Snake Men.

36

CREATURES

37

Serpos
One of the Ancient Beasts, Serpos was transformed into stone by the Ancients and he
remains a part of Snake Mountain.
The Snake Men kidnapped the Faceless One's daughter and forced him to create an
amulet to allow them complete control over Serpos. (this is the origin of the amulet King
Hiss will retrieve at the end of MYP season 2)

38

Gray's pet battle cat

Like Prince Adam, Gray has a pet tiger. He is slightly larger than Cringer, and is the albino
son of Sharella's female battle cat.
When Gray transforms into He-Ro, the tiger is transformed too, merging with the spirit of
the Guardian Lion.

39

The Guardian Lion

One of the Ancient Beasts, now part of the Central Tower, the Guardian Lions spirit can
merge with Gray's pet tiger, transforming him into a giant silver Lion that He-Ro rides into
battle.

40

Bionatops

One of a number of regular dinosaurs modified by Hordak, Bionatops is an incredibly wellnatured, loyal creature, with very little aggression. He is reluctant when going into battle,
but when he charges towards an enemy he cannot be stopped.

41

Turbodactyl

One of a number of regular dinosaurs modified by Hordak, and originally designed for the
Snake Men. He-Ro frees Turbodactyl from a trap and the creature remains loyal to He-Ro.
The creature is somewhat cold in personality, but is one of the fastest creatures soaring
through the skies of Eternia.

42

Gigantisaur

One of the Ancient Beasts who exists in the form of a statue within the dark realm of
Subternia, the creature will be brought to life by He-Ro and the Council of the Wise in their
darkest hour, and will share a special bond the Mother Tetsudo.

43

Tyrantisaurus Rex

One of a number of regular dinosaurs modified by Hordak, this ferocious and terrifying
creature is King Hiss favorite, and the leader of the Snake Men will often charge into battle
upon his back. His stomach contains a robotic nightmare called DynaDrone that can be
released during a battle to increase evils chances of success!

44

Sharella's albino battle cat

In the past of Eternia (the time of our story), the battle cats were a common race of giant
green felines. Sharella's tribe exists in the same jungle where most of the battle cats live,
and over the years have managed to tame the wild tigers.
Dressed in near-impenetrable armor the battle cats are used by the tribe to ride into many
a conflict. However the tigers are not like horses, and will keep on bravely fighting even if
their riders are unsaddled or dead.
The tribe sometimes place dreadful masks on them in an effort to strike even more fear
into their enemies!
Sharella rides a majestic female albino battle cat, one of the bravest creatures on Eternia.
The tigers son befriended Sharella's adoptive son: Gray.

45

PLACES

46

The Hall of Wisdom

The Hall of Wisdom resides on a beautiful lake in the middle of the City of the Ancients. It
is composed by the Central Tower, the Grayskull Tower and the Viper Tower.

47

The Central Tower

The center of the Hall of Wisdom, the Central Tower is also knows as the Temple of the
Starseed. Inside the tower is a pit that leads to the cavern at the center of the planet where
the Starseed is stored. The Tower is imbued with the power from the Starseed itself!
The Council of the Wise hold their meetings within the tower, and the Ancients themselves
will often visit the Central Tower.
The Guardian Lion, one of the Ancient Beasts, is now part of the Tower itself and protects
the entrance. The Lion cannot move anymore, but its spirit manifest itself through Gray's
pet tiger transforming him into He-Ro's Battle Lion.

The Crypt of the Ancients

The Crypt is located deep under the Central Tower and is the place where the Ancients
sleep, waiting for the day when a twin world will be brought back into their solar system.

49

Viper Tower

Viper Tower was built to honor the Snake Men, the first intelligent life forms on Eternia.

50

Grayskull Tower

Grayskull Tower was built to honor the Gray Skulls; a tribe of warriors that helped the
Ancients thwart evil during the first Great War. The Grayskull family still resides within.

51

The Evergreen Forest

The Evergreen Forest is where Sharella's tribe lives, and where Castle Grayskull will
eventually be built.

52

The Magic Cave

Leading directly into the center of Eternia, the Magic Cave houses the power of the
Starseed.
After Gray is touched by the Starseed he transforms into He-Ro for the first time and fights
the Unnamed. During the battle the cave collapses.

53

The Temple of the Ram Stone

This temple is where the Havoc Staff was created, and also where the Ram Stone resides.
The Faceless One guards both objects.

54

Zalesia

Second only to the City of the Ancients, Zalesia is most beautiful city on Eternia,
surrounded by its marvelous gardens and woods.
Sadly the Ancient Beast Serpos destroys it, and it finds itself buried under the Sands of
Time, where it remains for many years to come.

MAGICAL ARTIFACTS

56

The Staff of Wisdom

Created by the Giants for Eldor, the staff is used to channel He-Ro's powers. The gem
inside also collect the powers of the Living Spells, as it is has the ability to learn them.
The Gem itself will be split in two, becoming the gem within the Sword of Protection and
the seed of the Crystal Castle on Etheria.

57

The Book of the Living Spells

Guarded by Eldor, the Book of the Living Spells is where the magics used to create the
Universe are written. The pages are like living beings!
After its dismemberment, Eldor and He-Ro must embark on a quest to recollect all of the
pages, and prevent them from falling into evil hands.
It is also known as the Book of the Transformation.

58

The Havoc Staff

The Faceless One's staff is one of the keys for the barrier that surrounds Eternia. Keldor is
sent into the past to retrieve one of the keys and the Havoc Staff is the one he manages to
take possession of.

59

The Starseed

The Starseed is the artifact given to the Ancients by the Overlords of the Eternal
Dimension which created the universe via a large explosion (big bang)!
The powers of the Ancients are derived from the twin planets of Eternia and Infinitia, but
they can also use the power within the Starseed.
The artifact is kept at the center of Eternia (where it was before the creation of the
universe).

a ghost now know as the Unnamed
Phase 1- First Great War:
The Unnamed plots against the Ancients, and starts tensions between Gar factions
on Infinitia
The Snake Men request a tower to be built for them in the Hall of Wisdom, the Viper
Tower is built
The first Great War begins on Infinita, and leads to the destruction of the planet due
to the weapons secretly created by Hordak who has become servant to the
Unnamed. Many of the surviving war lords escape the great cataclysm and arrive
on Eternia via the space portals where they bring their troops and battle the Council
of the Wise
Humans from Eternia help the Ancients in the war, lead by the Gray Skulls tribe
During the war one the Ancients falls in love with the leader of the Gray Skulls. She
becomes human, marries him and they conceive a child
During the final battle the Gar Warlords are driven back to Infinita, and the dark
planet falls from its orbit breaking the ancient balance of the universe; as a result
the Ancients lose a great deal of their powers
The Unnamed ensures he will survive by splitting his very essence in two,
transferring half of himself into an artificial body created by Hordak, the body is
hidden on the remains of Infinitia
Some of the Gar population is taken into Eternia to save them
The Unnamed promises vengeance against the Ancients and the Grayskulls
The Ancients go to rest in the Crypt under the Central Tower, a plan is swiftly
created to restore balance in the universe
To protect Eternia, the Council of the Wise seals the space portal and creates a
barrier (Despondos) to protect Eternia from the Evil Forces. A few keys for the
portal exist, one of them is the Havoc Staff

third tower in the Hall of Wisdom: the Grayskull Tower

In a bold last move, King Hiss awakens and gains control of Serpos, one of the
Ancient Beasts

underground

battle

The Council of the Wise is broken up

The Horde Wizards bring Hordak back to life in a stone body
The Overlords of the Eternal Dimension create the Cosmic Enforcers
The third Great War begins
Hordak hordes bring great destructions to Eternia
He-Ro is wounded, but Tytus saves him by donating his magical blood creating the
physical transformation
King Grayskull takes the Gem of his Staff of Wisdom, and melts it, using the metal
to create two swords. The Gem is mounted upon one of the swords. The other half
is given to a group of He-Ro's most loyal warriors and friends. They travel outside
Eternia with the magical stone, looking for a world that can be transformed into a
replacement for Infinitia. They will later be known as the First Ones
King Grayskull and Hordak finally confront one another. Gray destroys Hordak by
using the Powersword. Before being sucked out of Eternia, the Spirit of Hordak kills
Gray
The allies of King Grayskull become the Council of Elders and imprison the
Unnamed in the Shakarran Crystal.
Veena, Grayskull's wife, becomes the first Sorceress of Grayskull and keeper of the
two Swords.
(I would like to expand this and find a way to incorporate the Honor of Grayskull)

Aftermath:
62

Hordak's spirit, banished from Eternia is recovered by the surviving Hordes Wizards
The artificial body of the Unnamed evolves into Horde Prime and the remains of
Infinitia become Horde World, where Horde Prime starts building his Evil Horde.
Hordak is once more brought back to life using magic and technology becoming the
semi artificial creature we saw in the She-Ra classic series.
The First Ones find a desolated planet and use the gem, which now contains one of
the living spells, to spark the life on this world. From the gem grows the Crystal
Castle, on top of Skydancer Mountain. The living spell, known as Light Hope, will
reside in the castle until the world will be ready to join Eternia at the center of the
universe, reestablishing the balance and finally awaking the Ancients.
The Elders become older and instead of dying, they merge with the Orb of Power,
which now resides inside Castle Grayskull (this needs to be expanded upon, too)
A group of people will carry the legacy by keeping the secret of Grayskull. They are
the Guardians of Grayskull, a secret alliance of warriors that will protect the Castle
over the centuries and make sure no king or ruler will try to claim it before the new
King of Grayskull will arise. They will carry a ring with the Grayskull emblem.
In present Eternia, Duncan is part of this group.
