1. Overview
We are in the process of upgrading the Present BPC MS 7.5 versions to EPM 10, Because
of this EPM 10 has to be installed in the BPC users machine. This is required to be
installed before go live because of testing EPM 10 system at the user end.
Till go live users will have both version of BPC in the user machine.
Go live for EPM 10 planed in the Jan14.

2. Check the OS version Windows XP or 7

Find out the windows version of your laptop/desktop to determine if it is Windows XP or

windows 7 OS
To do that go to Windows Start-> type Command in search box and click Enter

Copy the mentioned below command & Paste in the command and click enter
systeminfo | findstr /B /C:"OS Name" /C:"OS Version"

3. FTP Path to download the required softwares

4. Step 1 Internet Explorer

To install EPM 10 user should have Internet Explorer version 7 or Later. If the
version is less than 7, Request the user to install IE 7 or later versions.

Please open the Internet Explore >> Choose Help >> Click the About Internet Explorer
( To find out the Internet Explorer version in the system)

5. Step 2 Excel Version

Check the excel version: Users of Microsoft Office 2007 should have service pack 2, if
the user machine doesnt have Service pack 2 download from FTP and install the
same.
File Name: Step 2 - office2007sp3-kb2526086-fullfile-en-us).

Note: This step not required for systems which has Microsoft office 2007
service pack 3 or of Microsoft office 2010 or /2013.
Also dont ask users to download the above mentioned file from FTP.

Open the excel

Open the Blank Excel 2007 & Click on the Office Logo button then Click the Excel Options

Choose the Resources button & Check if any Excel Service pack version has been already
available in the About Microsoft Office Excel 2007 option
If there is no Service pack 3 installed, please install the Office Service pack 3 in the following
mentioned below screen shot

6. Step 3 - Install the Microsoft Office 2007 SP 3

Click the Office 2007 sp3-kb2526086-fullfile-en-us (SP 3) set up file
Tick the Click here to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms & Click Continue

Click No button for further installation

7. Step 4 Install Microsoft WSE 3.0

Click on Microsoft WSE 3.0 set up file & Click Next

Choose I accept the terms in the license agreement

And then click Next

Choose the Administrator Radio button & Click Next

Click Install

Click Finish in order to complete the Install Shield Wizard

8. Step 5 - Install vcredit_86

Click the vcredist_x86 set up file Tick I have read and accept the license terms

Please choose the Repair Microsoft visual c ++ x 86 Redistributable to its original state
(This option will appear only if this software was already installed in the system)
Click Next

Click Finish in order to complete the installation

9. Step 6. Install .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (Only for Windows XP

OS)

Click on dotnetfx35sp1 set up file from the folder

Choose I have read and accept the terms of the license Agreement radio button & Click Next

Choose the Repair .NET Framework 3.5 sp1 to its original state radio button
(This option will appear only if this software was already installed in

the system)

Click Next

Click the Exit in order to complete the .NET 3.5 SP1 installations

1o .Step 7 - Install .NET FRAMEWORK 4.0

Click on dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64 set up file
Tick I have read and accept the license terms & Click Install

Choose the Repair .NET Framework 4 to its original state radio button
(This option will appear only if this software was already installed in the system)
Click Next

11. Step 8 - Install EPM Add in SP 15

Click On EPM Add-in_NET40 set up file & Click Next

Choose I accept the terms in the license agreement & Click Next

Choose the SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP Net Weaver
And click Next

11. Procedure to Login BPC NW 10

Step 1: Type the URL in the Internet Explore http://10.175.3.72:8000/sap/bpc/web
Step 2: Enter your BPC user name and Password and then click on Log On
User Name : test_enduser
Password

: ********** ( BPC 10 Password)

Step 3: Compatibility View Settings

Click the Tools options & Choose Compatibility View Settings

Choose Add and click Close
