H1: Engagement plays a mediator/moderator for Trust and OCB.

The results (Table. 1) reflects the relationship between Trust and OCB where
the impact of employee engagement is checked against moderator/mediator,
To check the validity of above given hypothesis, Sobel test was applied on
data and the results from that test revealed the Partial mediation ( Z. value
4.032412 ), this value shows the partial mediation or moderation of trust between
OCB and employee engagement.

H2:
Motivation plays a mediator/moderator for Trust and OCB.
The results from sobel test for the mediation and moderation of motivation
between Trust and OCB, again the Z value (2.900) once again shows partial
mediation of motivation.

Mediation and Partial Mediation/Moderation

There is evidence for complete mediation when the effect of X on Y with the
inclusion of M is insignificant. However, when the effect of X on Y with the
inclusion of M is reduced in magnitude, but remains significant, there is
evidence for partial mediation (Preacher and Hayes, 2004). Partial mediation
is perhaps more realistic than complete mediation in social sciences research
because of the many causes of activities and behavior (Baron and Kenny,
1986).
To check the effect of these variables we formulate the hypotheses for
three identified potential intervening variables. The resulting hypotheses
could be listed as:
H2a: Type of vehicle mediates the effect of efficiency on car price.
H2b: 4 years resale value mediates the effect of efficiency on car price.
H2c:
Horsepower of the vehicle mediates the effect of efficiency on car
price.

H2d: Type of vehicle partially mediates/moderates the effect of efficiency on

car price.
H2e: 4 years resale value partially mediates/moderates the effect of
efficiency on car price.
H2f:
Horsepower of the partially mediates/moderates the effect of
efficiency on car price.
H2g: Type of vehicle moderates the effect of efficiency on car price.
H2h: 4 years resale value moderates the effect of efficiency on car price.
H2i: Horsepower of the vehicle moderates the effect of efficiency on car
price.
To statistically evaluate the above prepositions we have used the sobel
test (Preacher & Leonardille, 2001) examine the mediation effect in R. Sobel
test is one of the widely used method to check the mediation effect in a
relationship and could also be computed online at the website
(http://quantpsy.org/sobel/sobel.htm) when we are using SPSS. The analysis
of mediation effects of intervening variables on the relationship between
price and miles per gallon are presented in Table 2. In the R package, when
the indirect effect of the mediating variable if found greater than the direct
effect that we conclude that the intervening variable act as the mediator
between the independent variable and the dependent variable. As far as the
partial mediation and moderation effect is concerned we check the Z value in
the sobel test results; if the Z value is greater than 1.96 we conclude that
there are effects of partial mediation and moderation by the intervening
variable.
