Descripcin de la red
La red implementada en este trabajo tiene
una topologa tipo rbol, donde el nodo principal
(coordinador) est conectado a un computador
personal, por lo cual no tiene restricciones en el
consumo de energa. El coordinador se conecta
directamente con un nodo enrutador, el cual
permite la comunicacin con los dispositivos
terminales. La Figura 1 muestra la topologa
utilizada para este proyecto. Los nodos
diferentes al coordinador se alimentan con
bateras, por lo tanto su comportamiento influye
directamente en el tiempo de vida de la red.

Resultados
Antes de realizar los experimentos en los
estacionamientos, se hicieron mediciones en
laboratorio con el fin de estimar el tiempo de
vida de la aplicacin. Dicha estimacin permiti
comparar los resultados empricos obtenidos
para la aplicacin en el campo.
A. Estimacin del tiempo de vida
Se realizaron mediciones en laboratorio
para conocer el consumo de corriente del
enrutador, utilizando el mtodo presentado en
[7], as: se midi el voltaje en una resistencia de
1 conectada en serie con la fuente de
alimentacin, tal como se muestra en la figura 5.
