Categories of Energy Managers : 3 Categories


1. Certified Energy Manager ( CEM )
2. Professional Energy Manager ( PEM )

3. Executive Energy Manager ( EEM )

The purpose of having three categories of


energy managers is to assist and encourage
professionals in the energy management career.

Certification Level
There are 2 levels of certification. The Entry
level and the Showcase level.
Entry Level is the certification for organizations that
meet minimum energy management requirements:
i) Written energy policy adopted
ii) AEMAS Certified Energy Manager nominated
iii ) Budget and human resources allocated , etc

Showcase Level is the certification of


organizations that
i) Have been certified as Entry Level and
want to move forward
ii ) Or have already implemented a
systematic approach to sustainable energy
management and have achieved
measurable & continual energy savings
