One Drop One Solutions, a Swiss-based venture focused in innovative smart gardening
solutions, is joining Kickstarter community to seek funding for its ambitious project: ODO.
In this era of waste and draught, One Drop One engaged a mission to effectively reduce the
impact of domestic irrigation on potable water reserves. As the outcome of years of
technological and creative development, they can finally present ODO: a completely
autonomous multi-valve smart irrigation system able to save up more than 7.000 liters1 of
potable water each year, while keeping the highest standards of health and beauty for plants
and flowers. This amount of water is more than twice as much what the World Health
Organization (WHO) indicates as the minimum quantity needed by a person in a developing
nation.

About the product:

Designed in Italy and engineered in Switzerland, ODO is composed by a controller, a gateway,
sensors, sprinklers and managed through a mobile app. With 4 independent irrigation lines that
can be dedicated to exclusive cultivations, it can meet every gardening need. It works on an
innovative and proprietary low frequency data transmission protocol - with low battery
consumption - that is 5 times more effective than WiFi in terms of coverage. The system
constantly monitors weather forecasts through its connection to One Drop One cloud services
and compares retrieved information with embedded sensor measurements. ODO collects data
from its sensors to improve watering efficiency and to monitor the health status of your plants.
It is able to detect air temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, temperature, soil
fertility, humidity and ambient light. This extensive technological equipment, allows ODO to
know both when and how to irrigate your plants: at the right time, with the minimum amount of
water.

Powered by a high efficiency solar cell able to work in dim light, it is completely autonomous.
ODO just needs a normal internet connection: no plugs, no battery recharges. It is completely
flexible and fits with every existing irrigation system and most common faucet threads. The
app allows you to easily set-up the system and you will constantly be able to monitor the health
status of your garden, wherever you are. Once configured, it automatically knows the water
needs of your plants and flowers and defines a dynamic irrigation profile that is adjusted
constantly following weather forecasts and local data from sensors.
ODO small bundle, composed by 1 controller, 1 sensor and 1 gateway has a target price of
USD 199 and will be shipped starting March 2016.
