Multi-Service IP-DSLAM

SURPASS hiX
5622/5625/5630/5635
Release 3.8M
Broadband Access Comprehensive Solutions
The Nokia Siemens Networks hiX 5622/5625/5630/5635 series
of MSAN/DSLAM is an innovative platform for broadband access
networks to aggregate multiple client interfaces like copper, fiber or
mobile backhauling on the last mile of the network

All-in-One Multi-service
MSAN /DSLAM with all
DSL flavors and POTS
services
Scalability guarantees best
fit to your specific solution
requirements
Flexible & modular
solution for Central Office
(CO) or remote shelter
xDSL and VoIP
deployment

It is a real Ethernet based platform.

The SURPASS hiX 5622 / 5625 /
5630 / 5635 R3.8M comprises all the
previous features of R2.8 & R2.8M,
plus introduces new features such as
UNI Support at Gigabit Ethernet
Interface Card, Configuration of 4000
Multicast Channels with IGMPv3,
Enhanced QoS and Support of Virtual
Noise for VDSL2, support of Auto
Detection Mode (VDSL2, ADSL
1/2/2+) on 48-port VDSL2 Cards and
8 kHz NTR-Signal on VDSL2 for
synchronization as well as EFM
bonding on VDSL and VoIP and
R3.8M
VLAN enhancements.
provides new hardware as well, such
as additional Line Cards to support
MELT for VDSL2, ADSL2+ and
SHDSL.bis.
MELT is one of the key features in

R 3.8M and provides a Line test

method
if
network
providers
introduce all digital loop DSL service
without ILTF. ISDN-BRI (line code
2B1Q) and new CXU-G1..
The CXU_G1 supports the step into
10G for MSAN and prepares the
MSAN for MPLS support in the next
software release.
The IU10x1GE interface unit with 10
1GE interfaces can be used with a
white favor of standard SFPs and
supports P2P optical Ethernet for
subtending and FTTH applications.
Redundancy for power, fan, central card
and uplink as well as end-to-end
make
Multi-Service
management
MSAN/DSLAM carrier proof.
The
access to the customer is provided over
the existing copper without additional
investment in the infrastructure.

Its high-speed interfaces are

suitable for asymmetrical and
symmetrical applications such
as super-fast Internet access,
Voice Over IP, teleworking,
video conferencing, peer-tovirtual
peer
connections,

private
networking,
streaming
multimedia content and videos. (IPTV
for HDTV broadcast).
It provides all flavors of broadband
Interfaces like ADSL/2/2+, VDSL2
and SHDSL/SHDSL.bis in addition to
VoIP POTS line cards.

The
hiX5622/5625/5630/5635
MSAN/DSLAM family also allows
secure high-speed applications for
business customers like LAN-to-LAN
or Voice services over broadband.
