A Public Library Proposal

Rationale:
In 2016 UNESCO Millennium Development Goals, achieving primary
education is one of the goal that must be achieve. Republic act 7160 is one
of the keys in able to achieve this goal in 2016 whereas it is stated that a
barangay must at least have one information center or public library in the
area to maintain. Therefore, regardless of the circumstances, it is the
responsibility of the barangay officials to build and maintain a library in their
area.
Barangay officials in coordination with the professional librarians in the
Philippines must be the ones who must support this project to make it
possible.
Objectives:
1. To promote and foster literacy in the Philippines
2. To make the library help in achieving the 2016 Millennium
Development Goal which is to promote primary education the
Philippines
3. To promote information literacy in barangay area.
