bizhub 20FW Update procedure(djf / blf file is used)

(Hypothesis procedure)
Install (USB connection ) the Driver of bizhub 20 in PC.

1. Installation of Filedrgs
Copy "Filedg32.exe" to arbitrary location other than a local desktop.
2. Rewrite the Main Firmware.
2-1. Connect PC with an inspection machine by USB.
2-2.

Make an inspection machone into standby mode.

2-3.

Perform "Filedg32.exe" copied in the procedure 1.

2-4.

Select the driver icon of the inspection machine displayed on started Filedrgs.
As for the selected driver, an icon corresponding section becomes light-blue (Fig. 1),
and if the screen become out of focus, it will change to gray.( Fig.2 )

Drag and drop a djf/blf file to the driver of the inspection machine of Filedrgs.

* While rewriting Main Firmware, "Program Updating" is displayed on LCD,

and let you know it by sound.
* It reboot after rewrite of Main Firmware is completed.
* When it started with a Maintenance mode ( "Maintenance" is displayed on a display )
after having finished rewrite of MainFirmware, please set the country cord.
Refer to sheet "country code setting".

1. Press "Menu" key.
2. Select 4.Printer.
3. Select 2.Printer Option.
4. Select 2.Configurations.
5. Press "Start" key.
6. Check the following parts of "Printer Settings" outputted.
The digit after "Main Controller Main ROM Version:"

Setting of Country Code

Setup procedure of the country code of the device of bizhub 20.
* Procedure
( A precondition )
A indication "MAINTENANCE" should be indicated on LCD.
1. Press keys "7" and "4".
2. Wait until four digits are displayed.
3. Input the country code to be set by number keys.
Europe
0354
North America
0301
Russia
0348
4. Press "Start" key.
5. Turn OFF and ON after MAINTENANCEindicated in LCD.
( When "Europe" is chosen in a procedure 3 )
On the screen of "Set Country", choose a country.
( When the selected country is set up )
1.Choose "Yes" of each country and press "1".
( When the selected country is not set up )
2.Choose "No" of each country and press "2".
Stand by until it reboots.
( When countries other than "Europe" are chosen in a procedure 3.
A "Set Country" screen is not displayed but becomes usable in the following language.

<Remark>
Follow the process below provided that which sets up a country code from the usual affairs.
1. Turn off the power.
2. Power "ON" while pushing the "Menu" key
It will be in the affairs "an indication of "MAINTENANCE" is displayed on LCD".

When performing the language setting after having set a country cord, follow the following procedures

3. Select 0.Local Language.

3. Select 3.Volume.
4. Select 2.Beeper.
