The Challenge
The client needed a system that will accumulate data from all the sources onto a single platform in HANA
and provide intelligence to the C-level employees on strategic decision making.
The Objective
1. To design a solution that will assist the top management to understand the health of any project
2. To construct a software system that will aid the management to gauge the profitability and keep a
check on optimum utilization of resources for any project
3. To increase efficiency, productivity and scale of output
4. To design a system that will present output in multi dimensional formats
The Solution
Client approached PEOL Technologies with this problem, seeking a solution that would iron out all
these bottlenecks. The team from PEOL Technologies assigned to this project comprised of highly
experienced and seasoned professionals and architects carrying expertise in solving such similar
problems. After a thorough understanding of step by step process flow at the clients end, PEOL
suggested to use SAP Business Objects Design Studio with a KPI View Dashboard for the above
requirements.
the box iPad support, a state-of-the art HTML5 UI, seamless application themes, a WYSIWYG Eclipsebased designer, full and native support of BW BEx queries, direct connectivity to HANA as well as an
advanced scripting engine just to name a few.
The Approach
PEOL followed a very clear and modular approach towards the set objective.
Step 1. Requirement Gathering: The development team at PEOL studied all the data sources, the
frequency and load of data, data types and its bearing on the company.
Step 2. Analyze: The entire team along with the management analyzed and brainstormed upon what
would be the most optimum solution to this problem at hand. The team had to look for a solution that
would let the business users access this mammoth amount of data and study it in as many aspects
possible for the management to take a very informed decision.
Step 3. Implement and Manage: Based on this, PEOL built a data analysis and reporting system using
the multiple SAP Analytics tools that supported OLAP- real time data analysis.
