JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE PURPOSE
Facilities Engineering Inspector shall:
Under Technical Services Manager direction and supervision, performs a variety o
f Engineering Inspection duties
Assigned Engineering fields will include electrical, HV & LV systems at all ADAC
existing airports (ADIA, AAIA & GAA)
Ensure integrity and safety of all Electrical installations in collaboration wit
h FM Contractors and Utility authorities to minimise any downtime and adverse im
pacts on health and safety, security, airport operations and comfort levels of p
assengers, end users, customers and staff
Effectively manage and carry out regular inspections of planned & unscheduled wo
rks (under direction of Technical Services Manager) carried out by FM Contractor

s, Subcontractors and external parties

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic
Facilities Engineering Inspector shall:
1
Plan and prepare quality Inspections (scheduled and unscheduled) work programmes
for inspection of FM Contractors, Subcontractors external parties works that in
cludes electrical maintenance, instrument & control maintenance to ensure the el
ectrical installations supporting the ADAC properties, facilities & systems are
performed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner, in compliance with the Qual
ity Assurance (QA) manual, ADAC company policies, procedures, applicable codes a
nd standards and the FM Contractors Contracts & KPI&rsquos.

Plan, coordinate and monitor quality Inspections to comply with ADAC FM and regu
latory requirements. Supervise, plan and coordinate daily and outage maintenance
/modification quality inspection activities including the development of schedul
es for managing the inspection function in a proactive, responsive and efficient
manner.
Assist in review of electrical engineering designs, specification costs and quan
tity estimates for capital replacement, upgrades, refurbishments and new works.

Ensure Inspection checklists and frequency of Inspections are reviewed and appro
ved by the Technical Services Manager and a clear forward plan and programme for
such Inspections is developed.

Ensure all completed Inspection checklists, reports & recommendations are issued
electronically to the MCC and CAFM system for record and performance review pur
poses.

Ensure safe working practices including compliance with Permits to Work system &
ADAC Standard Operating Procedures are implemented by FM Contractors and Subcon
tractors staff at all times.
Operational
Facilities Engineering Inspector shall:

Oversee planning, preparation & implementation of work instructions (scheduled &
unscheduled) and provide direction to the FM Contractors staff for corrective m
aintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and the implementation
of any electrical system modifications.

On a daily basis conduct field site walk Inspections to asses and analyse status
of FM Contractors corrective and preventive maintenance execution activities an
d provide, where appropriate, recommendations for improvement.

Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable FM Contract
ors Contracts KPI&rsquos, ADAC procedures and regulatory requirements.

Ensure all Inspection checklists and reports for scheduled and unscheduled works
(including service requests generated by MCC) are completed and issued electron
ically to MCC and the CAFM system for record and FM Contractor performance monit
oring purposes.

Facilities Engineering Inspector shall:

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Required
High school diploma with minimum of five years experience in equivalent inspecti
on, test or examination activities
Multiple Level II QC Certifications in accordance with NQA-1 (1994) (or equivale
nt) or the ability to become certified in multiple disciplines
High school diploma with minimum of five years experience related to electrical
trade discipline
Good communication and computer skills

Professional Certifications Required

Preferred - An HNC / HND / Bachelorrsquos Degree in Electrical Engineering, Elec
tronics Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or uni
versity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Years of experience
Minimum 5 years for work experience on electrical systems installation and maint
enance
Minimum 3 years airport environment experience
