What is cursing?
It is praying for injury, harm or misfortune to befall
someone. It can also mean using of profane or vulgar
language by someone. In Bible times, a curse was
considered to be more than a mere wishing that evil
would befall one's enemies; it was believed to possess
the power to bring about the evil the cursor spoke.
Facts concerning cursing and foul language
1. Cursing is evil and immoral: It comes from an
evil heart: As it is written, There is none righteous,
no, not one: Their throat is an open sepulcher; with
their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of
asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of
cursing and bitterness: (Romans 3 : 10, 13 – 14
King James Version)
2. Cursing will make you to fall into the trap of
pride: Sin is on their lips; all their words are sinful;
may they be caught in their pride! Because they
curse and lie, (Psalm 59:12 Today’s English

3. Cursing will defile and corrupt you and
others: But the things that come out of the mouth
come from the heart, and these make a man
'unclean.' (Matthew 15:18 New International
