NATALIE
(VOICE-OVER)
Everyone around me has so many expectations; we are confide by
so many rules and restriction. I am constantly being judged by
unrealistic standards. I am just me: I am not my brother, Mr
Perfect, or my sister Miss Enthusiastic. I no longer want to
be restricted by things that shouldnt be asked of me

NATALIE

(VOICEOVER)
This is how I voice my frustration, social media... whats the
point mugging myself off venting my anger face to face if no
ones going to listen. At least this way, someone WILL see it
who sympathizes.
Tweets I want today over already and puts phone in her bag.
She goes into her bag and pulls out a box of cigarettes and a
lighter; she struggles to light it for a while, and then
smokes it.
CUT TO.
EXT. OUTSIDE HER SCHOOL DAYTIME
NATALIE
(Voice over)
This is the last thing I need everyyyyy singleee dayyy
(prolongs the pronunciation of these words) I swear the
teachers have a vendetta against me, I really do try but boy
do they test me.
NATALIE storms into the front gate flustered and frantic.
INT. SCHOOL CORRIDOR - DAYTIME

She enters the school corridor and the teacher questions her.
MR SMITH

YOUR EXCUSE THIS TIME?
NATALIE
(SCREAMS)
AH I CANT DEAL WITH THIS

Walks away angrily from MRS SMITH slamming the display board.

NATALIE
(VOICEOVER)
See what I mean? Why dont they just give me a break? And they
wonder why I rebel against them all the time. They wonder why
I never listen and Im so disobedient?
MRS SMITH
(Shouts)
UMMMM NATALIE?
NATALIE stops walking and rolls her eyes in frustration.
NATALIE
(Shouts)

MRS SMITH

CUT TO.

INT. HEAD OF YEARS OFFICE DAYTIME

MRS SMITH

be in your interests.
NATALIE
(Interrupts)

working.

(Shouts)

have a nice life.
NATALIE storms out of MRS SMITHS office and leaves school,
she takes one look back at the school and then walks off
angrily.
NATALIE
(Voice over)
Why does no one understand me? Or listen to me?
CUT TO.

with her legs
her bag where
bottle out of

out of school; she falls to the ground, sitting

crossed and her head in her hands. She stares at
a bottle of vodka hangs out; she then takes the

My parents already hate me, im the family hindrance, the let

could I go home? I couldnt.
NATALIE on her phone, receives a text message from her mum,
saying be home at soon. She then looks at the tube map. She
then puts her earphones in and falls asleep.
EXT. PARK EVENING.
NATALIE sits there thinking, whilst simultaneously overlooking
London in the distant view.
NATALIE
(MONOLGUE)
NATALIE
So here I am, lonely and isolated, no one caring no one
listening, so whats the point? Lifes becoming slightly
untenable now; I cant live without being listened to or
without being cared about. These people dont understand the
things that are going on in my life. My family dont support
me, they want me to be like my brother and sister but I want
to be my own person. How can my own family not understand me?
The warmth they gave me was undeniable, it was like a ray of
hope like an illusion before my very eyes I could see the
shroud of protection being shattered, but now I dont even
have them! What is the point of life anyway, were born to
grow old and lose all our uses, and become ostracised and
disregarded so Im missing nothing really, and no one will

miss me thats for sure. My life, without definition seems

like a hopeless spiral of protruding negativity. Now without
meaning, without direction, without guidance the emptiness is
surreal.

INT NATALIES HOUSE, INSIDE THE SHOWER-NIGHTTIME

NATALIE stares in to the mirror, parents arguing downstairs,
NATALIE being the subject of that argument.
NATALIE becomes more and more distressed as the argument
continues, she then walks gets in the shower, fully clothed
and turns it on.
Natalie shaking slightly she guides the blade to her wrists
that have visible cut scars.
