Same Band Combiners (SBC) reduce operating cost (OPEX) and accelerate deployment by
enabling multiple radios to use a single antenna. Low insertion loss minimizes impact on
performance and advanced features like remote tuning save on maintenance expenses and allow
the most efficient use of valuable spectrum now and in the future. CommScope's portfolio of SBCs
includes a large variety of models for outdoor or indoor applications. Whether used for technology
migration or capacity expansion, SBCs provide a simple solution to sharing infrastructure while
preserving quality of service (QoS) for subscribers.
With CommScope's portfolio of high performance same band combiners for a wide range of
applications, the benefits of sharing can be realized without sacrificing simplicity or performance.
Compact and rugged or sophisticated and versatile, our Andrew
Andrew
Same Band Combiners are available
for indoor or outdoor applications, including tower top installations. They incorporate novel technology
and advanced architectures to provide optimum performance while maximizing utilization of valuable
spectrum assets.
When there are more radio transmit ports than available feeders or antennas, a Duplex/TX same band
combiner solves the problem by allowing an additional TX to share an already duplexed path. This type
of SBC usually complements a receive multicoupler system or other means of RX sharing.
Directional filter architectures optimize the performance of devices also known as Low Loss Combiners
(LLC). Field
Field--tunable models can be controlled locally or remotely and are supported through the Andrew
Network Management System (ANMS).
Select models include one or more integrated features and functions, including:
l
l
l
l
dc Pass allowing dc current and AISG signals to pass through one or more branches
dc Switching the dc path through the SBC can be altered in the field, either automatically with dc
sensing or manually via a selector on the unit
dc Redundancy supporting a standby dc source; the SBC sinks a dummy current from the standby
source to mimic a load and prevent false alarms
Convertible Mounting Brackets a novel type of bracket that supports a variety of mounting methods
Stacking Features allows units to be attached to each other to facilitate installation on cable ladders
and in racks
