CFC KIDS FOR CHRIST

LEAD FORMATION PROGRAM

GREAT SPEAKER
Skill: Public Speaking

A. Objective
At the end of this activity, the kids will be able to learn how to be confident in speaking in public and learn
about the basics of being a good speaker or sharer.
B. Talk
In everything we do, may it be big or small, let us always remember that God is with us, especially when
we share our life experiences or when we talk about Gods greatness in our lives. We can inspire other kids
when we proclaim Gods greatness by speaking about it. But sometimes we have this fear of speaking in public.
But even we are young, let us not be afraid to speak about God. Just like God said to the prophet Jeremiah, We
can be GREAT speakers because God is with us.
Do not say that you are too young, but go to the people I send you to, and tell them everything I command
you to say. 8Do not be afraid of them, for I will be with you to protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Jeremiah 1:7-8
This verse means that even at a young age, God can already use us as an instrument to talk about this
greatness. Even as young as 10 years old, we can be bearers of good news.
Let us always remember that it is by the Holy Spirit that we can share Gods word. God can use us to
inspire others by becoming a GREAT SPEAKER, let us remember the following:
GREAT SPEAKER
God is with us always.
Start with a prayer or ask to be prayed over by
someone
Remember that it is the Lord who is speaking
Proper attitude in front
(ex: Dress properly, Right gestures)
Excite and Encourage the listeners about God.
Eye to eye contact with your audience when you
speak.
Acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses Aesthetics (ex: props, visual aids)
before God.
Thankful heart is what we need to become Key points of your talk are very important
blessing to others
(ex: A Audible; B Brief; C Clear)
End with a high note. Call to Action
Recognize that everything comes from God!
Thank him!

Conclusion
We can all become a great speaker and sharer of Gods greatness Just like Jesus. Being scared is normal
but as long as we always remember that God is with us, we can do it. The important thing is that we are able to
share about God. The Lord will give us the courage and confidence to speak and proclaim His name as long as we
ask Him to bless us. Let us talk first to Jesus before we give the talk and ask Him to take away our fears and fill us
with His love.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I do not want to be full of fear anymore. I surrender my heart to you and ask that
you take control of my life. Allow me to be an instrument in proclaiming your greatness. Thank you for
removing all my fear and replacing it with confidence, for replacing it with your love, and for giving
me peace. Amen."
