- Check the project MTO and build up the project Structural/piping WPS register. Which
shall cover all project welding activities
- Build up the pWPS comply with respective international code requirement / project
specification requirement
- Responsible for order material and welding consumable which need for welding
procedure qualification test
- Coordinate with all relevant parties to perform the welding procedure qualification test
- Review Vendor WPS and other vendor documents which regards to welding
- Witness T&I welding procedure qualification test / welder qualification test
- Review T&I pWPS/PQR/WPS
- Witness mechanical testing, issue WPS and inspect the WPS application
- Conduct welder qualification test, mark and update the welder list for project
- Follow up project welding and welder repair rate, collect and analyze defects and
timely give corrective action to improve welding quality
- Review weld map
- Issue welding sequence to prevent welding distortion and ensure the welding quality
and construction department to follow
- Issue method statement timely to ensure welding quality during construction
- Coordinate with other QCs to inspect welding activities in the project
- Inspect baking and welding consumable handling
- Inspect and witness welding machine calibration
- Inspect and evaluate technical requisition for welding machine and consumable
purchase
- Advise equipment, consumable, welding technical and solution for improving welding
