Bible Study

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

VENUE

Even with the founders week going on, we as students enrolling in an institution committed to human
development should not forget our spiritual well-being especially during these times. Early in the morning, it is
started with a prayer and afterwards reflections would be done to refresh our spirits and rededicate our will as
well.
A moderate study of the Bible, emphasizing small study groups, to insure a peaceful, respectful, and instructive
atmosphere for the contemplation of Gods Word. But beyond that, a small group Bible study offers a place to
connect with other believers, making you part of the family.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

VENUE

Founders Week would not be complete without the annual HIBALAG Booth Festival held at the Ravello Field. Ravello Field
As always, SUCN will be participating and will have a booth built according to the chosen design. A booth
committee and a Faculty chairperson (to be appointed by the Dean/Faculty Adviser) will be organized to head
and oversee any booth related activity. The Junior officers will be in charge of booth design and booth building,
while the Senior officers will be in charge of the booth designing and the gimmicks.

All-University
Cheerdance
Competition
Parade of Lights
(Torch Parade)

Miss Silliman

The booth will most likely be decorated to showcase what Nursing is all about and will display the many
equipment and tools nurses use almost every day. Many posters that promote good health will also be put up.

The booth will most likely feature traditional gimmicks like the Wedding Booth where couples can show their
love for each other by getting fake-married or where friends can watch their favorite love teams tie the knot.
There will be a gown and a tuxedo blazer provided as well as a veil for the bride. Plastic rings for the couple will
be given as a commemorative memorabilia. Another gimmick would be the fastest glover game where
participants race for the title of fastest glover. There will be an area in the booth where we will be selling old
and new SUCN merchandise including t-shirts, key chains, pens, lanyards, pins, pens and others. Another
gimmick would be a trivia game where people would randomly pick a question from a jar of rolled up papers
and do their best to answer correctly. The questions will be about anything related to Nursing. We will also be
offering shiatsu and ventusa for people who wish to try it.

And also, we will be making a fool-proof schedule for booth duty (by C.I. Group) and do our best to minimize
mistakes and conflicts in schedules.
The Cheerdance competition of Silliman University is held every year during the Founders Week Celebration. It
is a way for students to have a friendly competition among each other, as well as to show their talents and have
fun. Stunts and dancing make this activity exciting and exhilarating for all students. The involvement of the
College of Nursing will enhance teamwork and unity among the students. For those students who are not part
of the cheerdance team, they are encouraged to watch the competition support the college.
The Torch Parade will showcase student organization involvement in the university. As an annual tradition of
Silliman University to celebrate the opening of the Founders Week Celebration, the Silliman University College
of Nursing Association will participate in the parade. The students will bring their homemade torches using
flashlight and a long balloon. Actual torches will lead the students, along with a SUCNA banner. The parade will
end at the Hibalag Booth area and the students will go to their respective booths to have their attendance
checked.
