THE RUSSELL REPORT

July 2015

Dear Prayer Partners:

Time has gotten away from us and we are overdue on
sending you a prayer letter. We have been quite busy and
we thank the Lord for the many opportunities to serve Him.
Nikki made a trip to Chile to help a missionary couple who
was in a family crisis. The couple was in the USA but the

wife needed to make a trip to Chile and asked Nikki to go
with her to help them navigate down this difficult road. Sadly it resulted in this couple leaving Chile and resigning
from missionary service.
Later we made a trip to Jamaica to
partner with our missionaries there
and help in the Bible College,
teaching a Pastoral Theology class
and preaching in chapel. Scott also
preached in the Jamaican church
and enjoyed the warm fellowship of
Gods people in this place. We
desperately need more folks to
come and help us in this English
speaking ministry here. We need

Maybe God might call you to
come for either a short
term trip or long term
service.
We also made a trip to
Mexico City and to

churches, was

church planting and mission strategy. Scott also visited one of our Christian schools there and was able to visit and
think through ministry with our national partners there.

Nikki and I also traveled to

the Dominican Republic
where (among other things)
we also met with mission
leaders working on ministry
strategy and other projects.
We also enjoyed some rich
times of worship and praise

several
other
missionary
servants.
Amazingly we had an

church to hear more. He did
not turn to Christ there with us but we were able to give him the
address of our church in Chile. We pray he will visit it and give
his heart and life to Christ.
Recently Scott was part of a teaching team for ABWE teaching
the course The Roots of Faith Old Testament. It is a Monday
to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00 bible survey type of course. We teach 50
major bible events in chronological order emphasizing the
Bibles storyline showing Gods redemptive plan throughout the
Scripture. It is a course we teach to missionaries, pastors, and
church leaders. We had some 33 students come for the one-week
course offered at ABWEs International Headquarters

Prayer Requests:
1. While we picked up one new supporting church this quarter
(Wood County Baptist Church, Bowling Green, OH.), we lost
a family that was supporting us for $150 per month. We
therefore remain at 79% of our support requirements. If youd
like to help us, your support would be a huge help and a
blessing to us and is tax deductible! You can give online if
youd like by going to: http://www.abwe.org/give/online
Simply insert our name or our account number which is
#110033. Thanks for your consideration.

on her lung and is being tested to determine if it is malignant.
She should know the results by July 22 when she goes in to see her specialist.
3. We are working to put teams of people together to go with us to do evangelism at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de
Janeiro (Aug. 8 17, 2016). We will pass out gospel literature and hope to engage people in the gospel. The cost
is $1200 per person (not including airfare). This covers the cost of lodging, food, and transportation in the country
for 9 nights and 10 days. You will also be given a tee shirt and be able to get in to an event or two. If you are
interested in going with us, let me know as soon as possible. We are taking about 100 people and already have 50
spots taken.

4. We also are taking ones on short 10 day

mission trips to various places in Latin
America. If youd like to go with us, let us
know. We especially would like to take ones
to Belize and Uruguay as these are fields
wed like to open since we currently have no
missionaries serving there.
Grateful for Your Prayers and Support,
