Use a personal photo to emphasize the message, use color

swatches to show color scheme, use color scheme to create
unity within the design.

Process

I Adobe Photoshop to embellish the photo I had taken and

to create the layout of the design. I used basic photography
skills including emphasis on the focus on the foreground of
the subject of the picture to demonstrate my message. I used
alignment with the title of my design and the subject of the
picture, and I also used diagonal alignment with my colored
boxes in two corners of my design to
emphasize the color scheme used.

Adobe InDesign and Illustrator

Objectives

Create matching business cards

Process

I decided that I wanted complimentary colors that were

monochromatic to appeal to draw the eye of a young
audience. I kept the shape of a sleek rectangle throughout
the design with hints of my circular logo throughout the
business card. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the shapes,
and I used InDesign to create my text and colors within the
design. I used alignment throughout my entire design to
create a professional look.

Size and optimize the original logo for the webpage, use
HTML to design a webpage to display the logo, use CSS to
customize the webpage.

Process

I used HTML to create the foundation of my website with

specific tags to create a description of my process of my
logo design. I used CSS to add originality and expressive
creativity to my webpage. I used contrast to bring out my
initials and the word photography within my logo and used
repetition of color within my entire webpage to bring the
entire page together. I enlarged the original background
photo to create a large circle to subtly create similar shapes
with my logo and background image.

Photoshop

Objectives

Use making and the basic rules of typography in photoshop

to create an inspirational message.

Process

I used a masking technique to create the montage effect. For

my text I used the overlay/linear text tool to create heirarchy
with my text. I used the luminosity of the light bulb, the
overlay tool, and the fish-eye fx tool to wrap my text around
the light bulb to create hierarchy for the second verse I used
to emphasize the importance of light in my design. I also
used the Gaussian Blur on the image of the hands to both fit
them into my color scheme and create softer lines.

Objectives

Create a project folder to keep all files intact, use Adobe

InDesign to create a black and white promotional
flier, incorporating basic design skills and rules of
typography.

Process:

I used the opacity tool to my advantage add hierarchy

to the title, the logo, and the picture itself, as the black
contrasts with the low opacity of the photo. I aligned
the text with the border of the black background. The
slanted text and slanting of objects in the picture along
with the slant of the black background create unity of
shape and portray gestalt within the design.
