Self introduction by students and lecturer/tutor.

Visit the link above:
a. Login:
First time login:
Username: Student ID Number (e.g. 0509999)
Password: I.C. number with - (e.g. 123456-78-9999)
It is highly recommended to change your password after the first time login.
b. Edit your profile to include your contact details.
c. Upload your photo into the WBLE account (optional)
d. Explore and familiarise yourself with the WBLE website.

Activity 3:
Group activity: Forming the group

Introduction to Unit Plan and Coursework Brief in details and expectation of it.
Forming of Groups for Group Presentation:
Students are required to form groups of 5 persons for the purpose of their group presentation.
(Refer to coursework brief section 3 for details)
Students are required to elect a group leader to lead the group.
Tutor is required to highlight the responsibilities of each group leader, particularly on the
followings matters.
o Submission of group presentation slides - hard and soft copy
o Coordinate and manage the group.

Each group is required to select one presentation topic from the list. One group can only present on one
topic and should not be the same as the other groups in your tutorial class.

Activity 3:
Internet activity: Know where to get your resources!
Tutors guidance on how students can search material/journal articles using search engine on Internet in
order to help them in their assignment preparation.
3.1 Journal articles searching - Utar library. - www.utar.edu.my
Click on the library tab select OPAC
Login using you patron account
You can look for most of your articles under Online database and Journals.
Since these are paid subscription by UTAR, you will be asked to key in your student ID and
password to your UTAR portal. Just follow the instruction given.
3.2 Journal articles searching Google Scholar www.google.com
Alternatively, you can also use Google Scholar as one of your resource to look for articles
In the Google search page, click tab More and choose scholar, or you can just type google
scholar in the search box.
3.3 Other online sources
You can also support your content from these sites. Most of the time they do not carry any weightage
since they are not academic journals. However, they do provide good insights for your research

Internet Activities: Get your citation right!

Visit the link above:
a. On using the OPAC
Type in your search keyword under Search Term.
If you are searching for journal articles, click on periodicals
If you are searching for books, click on books
If you are not sure which one, click on anywhere.
Click on search button when you are done.
b. On using the online database:
Online database that are suitable for Accounting/Business students are:
i. ACM Digital Library
ii. EBSCOhost Business Course Premier
iii. ProQuest Online Resources
iv. Science Direct
c. Access the online databases above
Each student to select one full text journal articles related to the topic of your interest
from each database (total 4 articles)
Download the articles into your personal storage devices
Using APA referencing format, write the references of the selected articles on a piece of
paper and submit to your tutor together with the first page of each article in the next
tutorial.
