IAPMO & its Indian branch IAPMO-India is the natural choice in development of
codes and code based training model that will equip our industry with the tools to
build a better, more sustainable coexistence with the planet.
IAPMO has assisted code development in many countries and almost 50% of the
Worlds population is following these codes. IAPMO is a founding organization of the
World Plumbing Council (WPC). In support of WPC, IAPMO is working with World
Health Organization (WHO) to help bring sound, efficient plumbing systems to the
developing nations.
IAPMOI (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials India),
established & registered under 1956 act, in 2007 with offices in Bangalore and Pune
derives strength and opportunities from IAPMO Group. IAPMO- I is devoted to the
health, safety, and welfare of the people of India.
International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials- India (IAPMO- I) and
the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA), are working together to establish a model
code of plumbing installation and maintenance for all of India.
Indian Plumbing Association: IPA was established in 1993, as an apex body of
plumbing professional in the country. IPA is a voluntary organization of like-minded

the main stream of plumbing.
It is a comprehensive programme designed to provide individuals with the skills to
apply a broad range of plumbing principles. Through this course of study, an
individual will learn how to install, repair and maintain a variety of piping systems,
plumbing fixtures and other equipment generally associated with water distribution
and waste water disposal; and learn the basic principles and code requirements of
typical plumbing systems.
Suitability:
The program is suitable for aspiring plumbers, students who have passed 10th
standard school exam and also for practicing plumbers with a minimum qualification
of 10th standard pass.
The students of this course may be practicing plumbers who are working as
apprentices. The Owners, Managers or Contractors as Employers of these
apprentices could sponsor them for the program which will benefit both the
Employers and Apprentices.
