On 11 December 2014, the European Commission published the
first round of calls under the new EU Framework Programme for
Culture - Creative Europe. For cultural organisations, this call
invites proposals for cooperation projects, literary translations,
networks and platforms.""

Why are European Platforms funded?


This is not a grant to support platform running costs, or
creativity. This call supports specific, Europe-wide activities
that promote talent and strengthen the sector.
As with all EU funding, money is given order to strengthen the
sectors potential to contribute
to economic growth, job
creation and social inclusion.
These objectives link the EU
activities in the field of culture to
the broader European Strategy:
Europe 2020."

Who can apply for funding?


Existing European membership organisations who serve a broad
European cultural (sub-)sector by promoting and presenting
emerging and existing talent to Europe-wide audiences
(business-to-consumers). "
Their members can be companies, associations or organisations who
showcase emerging & established artists and their works."
The platforms need
to

be large enough to speak for their entire sector. The EU


wants to encourage a structuring of the European creative
landscape. "

What are the funding priorities?


The programme funds actions by the platform - that means
activities and projects implemented by the umbrella organisation
and its members. The day-to-day running and operational costs
of networks is no longer funded (i.e. no more operational grants)."

What to Submit?
All proposals have to include:

In order for your proposal to be eligible, make sure to fulfil the


following criteria"

In oder for your proposal to be evaluated positively

Make it as easy as possible for the evaluators to understand your vision and to check
your project against these criteria. Write in clear, short sentences - not all evaluators
will be native speakers. Give evidence of your expertise in the area and your
commitment to the platform - beyond the period of the grant.
