PrimeTime News
How did it get so late so soon? Its night
before its afternoon. December is here
before its June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon? Dr. Seuss
Whether you are 9 or 90, you have to admire the wisdom
of our friend, Dr. Seuss!

Please visit our new Eastern Kentucky District Facebook

page! Look for upcoming events and important updates!

Pastors Profile
Introducing Pastor Vernon Adams, serving now at North
Middletown, but has been faithful for many, many years
across EKD, serving where God led him. Thank you Pastor
Adams!
Tell us a little about your family:
Married 51 years to one of 12 siblings (Sue)
One child (JaDawna) and one grandson (Seth), special inlaws Many little adopted ones through child care

Do you see growing older as a positive time in your life or

one filled with many obstacles? Which of the two questions
most accurately defines your thinking?
Its late. Turn out the lights. The party is over. My time has
passed!
Its late! Turn UP the lights! My remaining time is precious
and not to be wasted. God has a powerful purpose for my
twilight!
I hope you enthusiastically chose B! Psalm 71:18 declares
now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me O, God.
Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your
mighty miracles to all who come after me!

Describe yourself in 7 words: Funny, witty, storyteller,

loves children, perfectionist, indecisive Evangelist

Gods awesome power has never depended on our age or

physical strength. Its still early enough! You are still young
enough to make a mighty difference for Christ in the lives
of others. So late so soon?......NO, NO share Christ
today with everyone you meet.

What would the title of a movie about your life be? A

Country Boy and His Dog God

Mark your calendar Festival of Joy at MVNU, October 9,

2015

Tell us about your first pet:

No dogs or cats.but Charlotte. Second grade. Beautiful. I
cried when she moved to another school. I was ready to
marry her, but saw later that the responsibilities of such a
union would have been overwhelming.
Today, you may have one super power what will it be?
Today (and its a long day) Jesus is on earth and every child
gets to sit on His lap and every teen may stand at His side.
He blesses them all (a blessing that lasts a lifetime). And no
one goes to bed hungry tonight!
What would your goal in life have been had God not called
you to preach?
To succeed and excel in whatever field of life. I liked farming, and I especially liked athletics, as it seemed I always
had a basketball or baseball in my hand.
Whats the strangest thing you believed as a child that you
later found out was not true?
It must have been some things about Santa, whom I believed in much longer than I dare to tell you.

Love and blessings to all. Bette Edwards

Pastors Profile-c (ont)
We are bringing your favorite meal what should it include?
You have brought my favorite meal when it includes the
company of a close relative, a dear friend, or a small child
to entertain or to be entertained by.
Tell us about your call to preach:
Sometime after conversion, each night when I lay down to
sleep, sleep left me, for sermons kept coming to me and I
saw myself in the pulpit preaching them. Now I have often
felt that I did not do well in the pulpit, but I have never
doubted that that was where God wanted me to be.
Give one idea of how to reach more people for Christ across
EKD:
Jesus must have had it right: GO OUT into the streets and
lanes..GO OUT into the highways and hedges and compel
them to come in that my house may be filled. (Luke 14).
But this going out must have with it the experience and passion that Isaiah had (Isaiah 6).
