Russian Fall of Communism in 5 Minutes or less

Jake: Hey kids, It’s Jake n Bake! I’m bringing you all the news of Post-
Soviet Russia!

Action: SOMEONE HOLDS UP SIGN READING “APPLAUSE”. (Audience

cheers)

Jake: Today is our one year anniversary of the fall of communism in

our oversized country. This day we realize that any government that
oppresses it’s citizens into submission and obedience will eventually
see a backlash from it’s citizens. I thought of that myself! Today is the
day that we celebrate the voting of our Soviet Union out of existence.
The power of Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Nakita Khrushev, Leonid
Breshnev, and Mikhail Gorbachev is a thing of the past to our new
nation.

Sound Effect: RING! RIIIIING!

Jake: Hello? You dare to disturb Jake n Bake in his speech! How dare
you! Identify yourself!

Chadrick: Hey everybody, It’s 7 Dog here, I’ll be here helping Jake n’
Bake in his little speech here.

Jake: I never invited you, but Okay. Looks like we’re going to have to
have two guests! Introducing our professional in Russian Politics.
Gemini Johnson, Also known as 4-Q!

Nick: Alright everybody, Now about Russia. Vladimir Lenin (1870-1927)

was the president for a bit of time. Under his control the Soviet Union
underwent many radical changes that led to the development of NEP
(New economic policy).

Joselph Stalin (1878-1953) This man quickly became the most powerful
man in Russia. He ran the Soviet Unionwith brute power, removing all
that opposed him and his Communist beliefs. This period of time was
known as the “Great Purge”.

Chadrick:
I don’t know whatever script you guys might have, But I know
about Nikita Krushev (1894-1971) Lead the soviets during the
Cold War. He believed that Stalin’s actions were unnecessary and
harmful to the process of moving the Socialist government to it’s
goal of complete communism.
Leonid Brezhnev (1906-1982) became the Soviet Communist
Party Secretary Genera in October 1964. Under his control central
power was brought back into effect. Stalin’s disciplinary policies
were disturbed.

Sound Effect: SLAP!

Russian Fall of Communism in 5 Minutes or less
Chadrick: You slapped me through the phone.. Nice.

Nick: As I was saying.. March 1985 marked a turning point in the

Communist Rule of Russia. Mikhail Gorbachev (1985-91) was elevated
to the position of General Secretary. He was fully aware of what he had
to do to keep Communism alive in Russia. He began a program called
“Perestroika” which was intended to help rebuild the government and
military, but the main purpose of this program was to improve the
Soviet standard of living. In the end Perestroika turned out to be a
complete failure. In 1991, the economy deteriorated before the eyes of
Gorbachev, and he could do nothing to stop it.

Soon following: the USSR voted itself out of existence in December

1991, and Gorbachev resigned as present of the former Soviet Union.

Jake: Thanks for the information, Sir.

Nick SAYS IT REALLY SOFTLY (Doesn’t Stop until you here the
closing of a door): If you’d like you could donate to the future
Russian kids of Russia church fund. Here you can help my research and
make sure that non of the future Russian leaders are stupid and screw
anything up.

Jake: So here we are one year later, free from the cold hands of
communism, realizing that we as a nation are free. SOUND EFFECT:
CLOSES DOOR This is your local news station saying good night and
remember, back in Soviet Russia, rode fork you!

Sound Effect: CHADRICK COUGHS

ACTION JAKE: Holds up sign saying (applause) audience cheers.
