John was living in Rowley, MA in 1643 but, went to Cochichawicke (Andover) in 1646 with a party of
Newbury men led by Rev. John Woodbridge.(1) In a court record 13 Nov. 1649 John is listed as a resident
of Andover where he was a constable in 1663 and mentioned as a householder in 1665.(2)

In his will 15 May 1671- 27 June 1671 he gave his house to his wife, to his son John "the ground behind
the pond to have at 21 years of age if he like not to live with his mother... also the bulrushy meadow and
the Woodcuck meadow". After his mother's death John was to have "the house and all other lands". "To all
my daughters I give £20 a Piece to be paid at Marriage and whatever else to be given them I leave to my
wife." Rebecca was the executrix and the will was witnessed by Francis Dane and Alexander Sessions. The
inventory taken 12 June 1671 by John Frie, Richard Barker and Nathan Parker amounted to £ 501/10.(3)
