Running Clubs
1. NuclearKitty
a. Chinas first all-female running club which was founded at the end
of last year. Their name shows that they are normally like a couple
of cute kittens, but when running, become nuclear powered.
b. This club has high expectations of its members. They hold three
practices a week and often participate in group runs and slow long
distance training. Dedicated members participate in competitions
throughout the country.

2. KiteRunners
a. Established February of this year, their motto is: everyone has a
kite in their heart; no matter what yours symbolizes, you must
bravely follow it. This club does not have any requirements and
accepts all participants, from those trying to improve their health to
those training for marathons. KiteRunners regularly organizes
group runs through online communication and participates in
competitions as a group.

3. Crazy Bitch
a. Formed in the Fall of 2013, this running club has around 100
people and nearly 10 designated areas around Shanghai where
they have weekly morning and evening runs. They require their
male members to run a monthly total of 80 kilometers, and female
members to run 50 kilometers, as well as participation in at least 1
competition every half a year.

Cycling Clubs
4. Prodigy
a. This club, established in 2003, was the first cycling club in China,
and is comprised of mostly male foreigners. They solely participate
in biking on mountain or nature trails. They hold events every
weekend, and have at least 2 excursions out of the country every
year, including traversing the Swiss Alps.

5. Rideal
a. This cycling club encourages all types of bicycling, including
mountain biking, road cycling, and BMX. Every week they
participate in a ride within the city, and go to three out-of-country
locations per year.
