Skill Development Center:

Seva Bharathi planned to start skill development center at madikonda, near kazipet, Warangal district. We have
been started construction and it is getting ready to start skill development center soon. As part of skill
development we want to train the nearby rural youth in service and repairing of Home appliances. We felt that
providing a certificate to the trained youth will give the value addition to their real time training and their
career.

Seva Bharathi Projects supported Under CSR:

Vaidehi Ashram:
After studying the girl childs growth in the society, we have identified the areas that impact Girl child in the
country - Maltreatment, Child Labour and Child Marriage, Gender bias, Trafficking, HIV/AIDS, Homelessness
and Impoverishment are some of those.
To address the serious issue of Girl child abandonment we have started Vaidehi Ashram in 1993 at Saidabad,
Hyderabad. And for past 23 years we are proud to say that we have provided shelter, education, jobs and
married of many (till now 25) abandoned Girl children from our institution. Our experience in this area speaks
for itself with many references coming to us from society, known persons and from government etc. Presently it
is accommodating 104 girls.
This project was supported by CAF India, for more than 4 years and now the discussions are going to increase
their support to this project. Microsoft and SBI is also active supporter of this project.

Abhyasika (Study Rooms):

Lakhs of people stay in slums in cities and towns. Hundreds of huts are constructed on a small of land. A
family usually stays in a small, one room hut. It is in such a small, congested set-up that all the members of
the concerned family are compelled to perform their respective activities. The general atmosphere and
environment in such slums, particularly in the evening and night is noisy. Students find it difficult to study
peacefully.
Abhyasika (Free Study Room) is a student-centered activity, attempting to find a solution to the difficulties
faced by the students residing in slums. The study room facility is located near or in the slum. Places such as
schools or community halls where no activity is carried out during late evening are selected for this activity.
Provision is made for adequate light, drinking water and toilets. Students from the slum are invited to the
Abhyasika every evening where they can study and complete their homework in a peaceful manner. In this
respect study rooms differ from tuition classes. No regular classroom type teaching is conducted in
Abhyasikas. The supervisors solve difficulties faced by the students. Students are seated according to their
standards in schools. A supervisor or two ensure that peace is maintained in the group under their care.
Attendance is recorded every day. If a student remains absent consecutively for 2-3 three days, some worker
visits his home to enquire about the reasons for absence. Progress of the students is monitored periodically by
obtaining progress reports of their respective schools. Presently Seva Bharathi running 57 such centers in and
around Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts. Around 1500 children are getting benefited by this program.
This project is supported by Beardshell Ltd. and Tri Geo technologies Pvt. Ltd. from past two years and
planned to start 200 such centers in these twin district in this academic year.
Projects supported under Govt. Schemes and Institutions:
Sandeepani Awasam, Palamur (Child Labour Rehabilitation Center):
Child labor deprives children of their right to go to school, exposes them to violence, and reinforces
intergenerational cycles of poverty. Yet, this serious violation of human rights is not inevitable. Worldwide,
about 168 million children aged 5 to 17 are engaged in child labor, accounting for almost 11 per cent of all
children. India has the dubious distinction of being home to the largest child labor force in the world, with an
estimated 30 percent of the world's working kids living here. Nearly 85 per cent of child laborers in India are
hard-to-reach, invisible and excluded, as they work largely in the unorganized sector, both rural and urban,
within the family or in household-based units.
Child labor is preventable through integrated approaches that simultaneously address poverty, improve access
to education and mobilize public support for respecting childrens rights. Seva Bharathi has been running
campaigns against child labor since 2002. With a partner network of 60 other non-governmental organizations,
Seva Bharathi runs various hostels called Affection Homes that house the rescued children. These children are
provided boarding, lodging and education.
Sandipani Awasam is one such affection home in MahabubNagar district of Telangana supported by Seva
Bharathi. Several hundred children were rescued from child labor and housed in this home aged between 9-15
years. All rescued children are initially sent to bridge schools for a year where orientation is given to
reintegrate them into the school system. 90% of the children after completing school went to college and

completed graduation. Two children went to become doctors.

In general Many children were working as labors in Farms, Tea/Coffee shops etc. Their parents sold the
children and migrated to Mumbai and other parts of the country. An extraordinary effort has been put in to
bring out the inherent talent of these children. The little hands that have toiled have now been performing on
par in education and sports with other children.
The campaign for eradication of child labor paired with alternative education and innovative methods has
made the children stay at these affection homes and get back to school. This project was started with the
support of both state and central governments.
Vivekananda Vritti Vidya Kendram: Hyderabad
Vivekananda Vritti Vidya Kendram started operations in 1995. Since then to 2015, we are able to train nearly
1800, out of which approximately 90% were employed. Nearly 20% started borrowing clothes form shops and
tailoring on the basis of fee. 3 started business independently.
Vritti Vidya Kendram vocational training helped the people whose financial condition was poor by
providing employment. And also Counseling helped people with psychological problems and boosted self
confidence in them. This project is supported by SBI bank. Presently we are running 4 centers in Hyderabad.
Along with tailoring centre, we are also organizing many other services. With these services we were
associated with Kovida womens council and Vasanth Nagar Womens Council who were in the same service
line We also conduct various religious programs like yagnas, Independence Day, Republic Day,
Rakshbhandan, Samuhika Varalakshmi Vratam in Sravana Maasam and Vanabhojanam in Karteeka
Maasam. We encourage women with programs like Maatru Mandali on every Monday and with conducting
games among them in every association.
Along with tailoring, a brief exposure on health, self confidence, self- sufficiency is provided as a part of the
training session
Summer Camps for children will be conducted which helps them to develop professional education,
patriotism, culture along with songs and games Matru Mandali program conducts awareness programs and
discussions on Parenting, women related issues, role of women in family building, Hindu Families, Patriotic
songs, Devotional songs. We will invite all the old and new students for all activities Students also invite all
for their family and personal functions which help in new contacts and a strong relation within the students.
We are running these centers at 4 places of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.
Sanghamithra Seva Samithi:
Chenchu is a primitive tribal group inhabiting 6 districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, mostly in and
around the Nallamala forest. Their population is around 40,000 and declining.Their under-development is
demonstrated by the indicators in education and health - literacy rate of about 10%, serious malnutrition is
causing them diseases (79%), Infant mortality (17%), TB (4%) and Malaria41%. Chenchu are generally shy and

vary of outsiders, which makes it difficult to undertake any intervention to improve their socio-economic
condition.
Sanghamithra Seva Samithi is trying to make a difference in the life of Chenchus by eradicating the illiteracy,
malnutrition and substance abuse. To make this happen the organization is providing awareness, education
through the residential school, nutritious food and medical aid through a mobile dispensary at their door step.
Sanghamithra Seva Samithi had initiated a program about 15 years ago to educate the Chenchu tribals and
improve their health to raise their life expectancy. As a rapport building measure we initially started a few Bala
Samskara Kendra and later opened Baktha Kannappa Gurukulam, a residential school in 1999.
After understanding their way of life and building trust with the community, Sanghamitra Mobile Dispensary
was launched in 2003 with the support of Government of India and now being run with the help of IDRF
since 2007. It is a challenge to find and motivate dedicated doctors and medical workers to work among tribals
living in interior areas devoid of any civic amenities. The Mobile dispensary with a group of doctors visits
every Chenchu gudem (38gudems in total) at least thrice every month. We have successfully cured 212 TB
cases (out of 234), 614 ante-natal cases, 1334 anemia and 48,516 other cases.
Other Projects:
Other than the CSR support and govt. support we are running 15 affection homes, 5 schools, help desks at
govt. hospitals, mobile medical van, mobile science lab, kishori vikas yojana centers (study rooms for girls),
shelter home at Gandhi hospital with the help of individuals from society.
In all over the state we are running 15 affection homes. In all these affection homes presently we are totally
accommodating 800 children.
For the education of needy and poor children of remote villages we are running 5 schools in the state. In these
5 schools nearly 900 students are getting benefited.
We are running help desks at 5 major govt. hospitals of Hyderabad (Gandhi, Kothi Maternity and Nilofer
hospital). In these hospitals daily 300-400 patients getting guidance and help from our volunteers in each
hospital.
Mobile Medical Van (Sanjeevani) visits the slums of Hyderabad. It is covering nearly 25 slums in a month
and providing medical aid to about 1000 slum dwellers.
Mobile science Lab (Jignyasa) started with a vision that every school going children should get hands on
