2. COMMENTS
The pupils lacked the fundamental language skills (vocabulary and grammar knowledge)
and they also did not have the motivation as they are not learning English as a second
language but as a foreign language. They were not exposed to a variety of English material
outside the school.

3. SUGGESTIONS
The pupils could be motivated by making a variation on the teaching and learning
approach and also exposing them to a more unconventional methods of learning like using
songs as their reading material particularly the famous ones.

2. COMMENTS
They had some improvement particularly in the grammar area and also their reading skill
but they still had a long way to go before they could be fluent in English because as of
now, they were still learning English as a foreign language not as a second language.

3. SUGGESTIONS
The pupils motivation could be sustained using the variation of teaching and learning
methods but a little help outside the school could help especially if it helps them with
their learning at home.

2. COMMENTS
The pupils had to struggle a lot in the grammar area. Although most of them had enough
fundamental English language skills but only a handful of them were learning English as a
second language and for most of them, they were still learning English as a foreign
language.

3. SUGGESTIONS
A variation in the teaching and learning methods as well as giving the pupils enough
motivation to learn English not only at school during school days but also at home.

2. COMMENTS
The pupils had improved tremendously during this period of time. Perhaps learning English
through the unconventional way had given the desired result. Their grammar knowledge
improved a lot.

3. SUGGESTIONS
The pupils could be motivated further to learn English as a second language by guiding and
monitoring their usage of the information technology particularly the social sites, although,
this had its own pros and cons. But I believe, with the right amount of encouragement and
monitoring by all parties teachers and parents/guardians, this could help and benefit them a
lot.

2. COMMENTS
The pupils did not have enough basic English language skills and they were also learning
English as a foreign language thus their mastery of this language is poor.

3. SUGGESTIONS
The pupils needed a lot support from the teacher and perhaps other than motivational
speech the teacher could also use different teaching and learning approaches.

2. COMMENTS
1) The pupils were very poor as they had minimum or none exposure to English language at
all. The few of them who had minimum exposure were also learning English only at school
and their learning outside of the classroom is almost nonexistence.

3. SUGGESTIONS
The pupils needed support and motivation from the teachers. They also needed a lot of
teaching and learning materials.

2. COMMENTS
There weren't much difference in the pupils achievement this time around although the
pupils were beginning to show interest in trying to communicate in English.

3. SUGGESTIONS
The pupils needed a lot of support, guidance and motivation from the teacher, friends and
family as well as they needed to be given a lot learning materials for them to brush up on
their grammar and vocabulary knowledge.
