OBJECTIVE

A photography job that would enable me to use my people skills and background in fine
art surrealistic photography, photojournalism, actors head shots and other forms of
portraiture. (No food, sports, architecture, school, baby or family photography please).

EDUCATION

NYU (New York, New York) - B.F.A. Film and TV. Independent study work senior year
- Producer/Director two 30-minute documentary films on artists Nina Winkel
(sculptor) and Irving Amen (painter) - the films appeared on Manhattan Cable TV,
New York City and Roger's Cable Channel 10, Toronto, Canada.

Laney College and California College of Arts & Crafts (Oakland, CA) - photography
courses.

Brooks Institute of Photography (Santa Barbara, CA). Attended Masters program.

EXPERIENCE

2004 - 2009

Real Estate Management - Phyllis Lang Enterprises, Englewood Cliffs, NJ - basic


book-keeping entry work for the family business.

1991 - 2000

Fine Art Photography - Exhibited surrealistic photography at numerous Arts & Crafts
shows and galleries across the U.S. The Bergen Museum of Art & Science, Paramus,
New Jersey purchased my photograph "HIGH NOTE" for its collection.

1999 - Present

Actors headshots - in studio/outdoors.

1985 -2006

Free-lance Photojournalism - Photos/photo stories - The Berkeley Voice, The San


Francisco Bay Guardian, The Montclairion and Oceans magazine, The Bergen
Record and Practical Photography (British magazine). Shutterbug (international
circulation photography magazine) I wrote two articles that featured my photos: "A
Renaissance of Colors" (how to photograph U.S. Renaissance festivals) and co-wrote
with Ken Thompson "Manual vs. Automatic: The Ultimate Challenge."

My photographs have appeared in the following books: Photographing People:


Portraits, Fashion, Glamour and PORTRAITS by Roger Hicks and Frances Schultz,
NIGHT SHOTS and BEAUTY SHOTS by Alex Larg and Jane Wood (Pro-Lighting
series published by RotoVision SA) and Successful Black-and-White Photography: A
Practical Handbook by Roger Hicks (publisher: David & Charles plc).

1987 - 1988

Fashion photography (model headshots and portfolio shots), New York City.

1987

Photo Assistant - Popular Club Plan, Garfield, NJ. Loading 8x10" film, prop hunting,
assisting photographers with various still-life set ups for their catalog.

1982 - 1983

Cat's Records & Tapes Stores (record store chain), Nashville, Tennessee. Producer -
two animated tv commercials. One spot aired on major network channels.

1982

The Right Stuff, Oakland, California. Movie extra - (played one of a multitude of
reporters at a Mercury space program press conference).

1981

New York Weekend Market, Jamaica, Queens, New York City. Producer - ten-second
tv commercial spot for this flea market ran on WOR's Million Dollar Movie.

1977 - 1981

Free-lance Production Assistant for Ed Kasper Productions - worked on Jordache,


Compound W, J.C. Penney, Famous Shoes and Avon Paperback television
commercials.
