Policies, Processes and Procedures

#
Assists in the implementation of section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure
all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled
Day to day management
#
Ensures successful production in terms of quality and quantity as per specifications of
the Production budget with optimum use of resources.
#
Supervises the operations of the plant and equipment according to Standard Operating
Procedures and Work instruction. Take instructions from Shift Superintendent and
communicate down the line for implementation.
#
Supervises critical operational activities: start-up and shutdown, and provide technical
support to the Supervisors and Operators during these activities.
#
Takes corrective actions to control upset/disruption in accordance with the upset
scenarios.
#
Performs the routine inspection of process parameters, equipments in XXXX Plant,
identifies, records and in case of any abnormality initiates corrective action to ensure safe
and continuous operation of the plant. Updates Shift Superintendent about the abnormality.
Safety, Health & Environment
#
Supervises and release permits for safe and timely hand over of systems or
equipments in Plant during normal operations or shutdowns for inspection or maintenance.
Ensures timely completion of inspection or maintenance activity ensures availability of all
systems or equipments in Plant in compliance to the Permit to work procedures.
#
Participates in risk analysis for any unusual operational or maintenance activities, first
level of investigations of any incidents/accidents in Plant. Attend periodically group safety
meetings.
#
Identifies Near misses and Hazards in Plant and reports to the Shift Superintendent for
further corrective and preventive action.
People Management
#
Give feedback to Shift Superintendent for appraisal of Operators, maintaining
discipline, guiding them about their strengths and weaknesses, suggest areas for
improvement, and provide all necessary aides to improve overall excellence in operations.
Training
#
Proposes and follows-up on training of staff. Participates in the operator certification

Requirements
Academic and professional qualifications:
Bachelor degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Science Graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
For Bachelor degree holder, More than 6 Yrs Experience in similar position and plant.
For Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Science Graduate or equivalent, More than 8 Yrs
Experience similar position and plant.
Languages:
Fluency in written and oral English language. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
Skills:
Good communication skills, Decision making skills. Planning and scheduling skills, Analytical

High level of inter personal skills
Competencies:
Technical knowledge, SAP PP module, Understanding of business environment and
