LEISURE ACTIVITY

Im a popular water leisure activity where you can observe sea bed
on the surface of water.
You need 3 essential equipments to practice me: flippers, diving
mask and snorkel.
Its amazing to practice me on tropical seas where you can observe
coral reefs with many plants and tropical sea animals like octopus,
starfish, mollusketc.
I can be practiced with no particular training.

I AM SNORKELING

FOOD
Im a long slightly curved exotic fruit. My skin has a yellow or green
color, easy peeled. My flesh is usually creamy white.
In some countries, Im essential for a balanced diet because Im very
rich in potassium and sugar.
I can be eaten as a dessert (Im usually yellow in this case) or as the
main course (I am green then). In Reunion Island people eat it as a
dessert, flamb with rum. Im also very good in jam, in cake or with
ice-cream and hot chocolate.

I AM THE BANANA

GEOGRAPHY
Im a very big area of 75 million square kilometers. I am
bordered in the North with India, in the East with Malaysia,
Australia, in the South with Southern Ocean and in the West
with Africa.
Im the smallest, youngest and physically most complex of the
three worlds major oceans.
I have many paradisiac islands in my area: The Seychelles, The
Maldives, Mauritius and of course Reunion Island.

I AM THE INDIAN OCEAN

ANIMALS
Im a large, intelligent and aquatic mammal. I breathe air through
blowholes into lungs. Im not a fish. I have a sleek body that moves
easily through water.
I belong to the group of cetaceans. Im a very enormous animal but
Im very acrobatic and I like jumping high out of water despite my
weight.
You can meet me during the austral winter near the costs of Reunion
Island.

I AM A WHALE

PLACE
Im a high peak located on the eastern side of Reunion Island and
also within the Reunion National Park.
Im 530 000 years old.
Im a major tourist attraction on the island because my landscapes
are very amazing (many people compare me to the red planet!).
Im currently one of the most active volcanoes in the world along
with the Etna for example.
My last eruption occurred on December 2010 and has lasted for 2
days.
