Main Features and Functions
x The double acting cylinder used in BDC is (Bore) dia.63 X 100mm stroke, with ball joint filled at cylinder
end.
x 5/2 electrical operated valve i.e.; Operation Control Valve used for opening/closing of cylinder.
x 3/2 pilot operated valve i.e.: System Control Valve used for emergency operation.
x 3/2 electrical operated valve i.e.: Emergency Reset Valve used for electrical reset after emergency.
x 3/2 puss-pull valve i.e.; Main Cut off Valve used for main air supply cut off at the dash board end.
x Non return valve for compensation of air in the pilot/emergency line.

Pneumatic Sensor
Function: When there is any obstruction occurs to the door, air pressure in
the pvc pipe in the rubber strip of the door panel will increase. As soon as the
pneumatic sensor connected with the pvc pipe senses the air pressure change
in the pvc pipe, it gives an electrical signal to the controller to retract the door.
Function: It is object sensitive type. It is fitted on the mounting plate with its sensor
opening towards the floor of the bus. The length of the sensing range according to
requirement at the body building end. The sensor is in active condition when the door is
in open condition. During the door closing if somebody either tries to get into or out of
the bus, it senses the person and gives signal to the controller to retract the door.

Function: During the door closing, the buzzer beeps to warn the driver. And also in
case of emergency the beeping frequency changes to warn the driver.
Function: The reed switch installed on the slots provided on the square profile of the cylinder tube. The
reed switch senses the magnet ring on the piston and gives signal to the microcontroller. As long as the
door in close condition, the reed switch will glow. When the doors are opened, the piston of cylinder goes
back to the end of the cylinder, thus the light on the reed switch stops glowing. Therefore, when the door is
fully closed the controller will not work.

Ball joint:
Function: This component fitted at the front end of the cylinder to rotate the
linkage, which in turn open/close the doors. The ball joint provided to take care
the entire misalignment take place during door assembly.
