RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION FOR APPOINTMENT ON CONTRACT BASIS


Metro Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Co. Ltd., a Government of Gujarat
undertaking, is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of
Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project.
MEGA invites applications from qualified and experienced Engineers in various fields of
Civil/Electrical/ Signaling / Telecommunications for appointment of key senior, middle / junior level
management positions in the Project Wing. All appointments proposed will be on contract basis only
for the following posts:

Apart from the pay, other benefits will also be paid as per the Company Policy. Age may be relaxed for
exceptional candidates having relevant experience in Metro Rail Project.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Post No.1: Deputy General Manager (Construction) No. of posts 1


He must be a B.E / B.Tech (Civil) engineering graduate having minimum 15 years of experience
and out of which 5 years experience in construction of Viaducts, bridges, multi storied buildings,
workshop sheds etc. Candidates having worked in Metro Rail Viaduct construction with experience
of supervising Segment Casting yard work, erection of Launching Girder for segment launching,
pile foundation works etc. will be preferred.
He shall be responsible for supervision and monitoring of Construction works as per DPR.
Post No.2: Assistant General Manager (QA & QC) No. of posts 1.
He must be a B.E / B.Tech (Civil) engineering graduate having minimum 10 years of experience
and out of which 5 years experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Civil Structure for
a large project. Candidates having relevant experience in Viaduct Construction and elevated
station construction works on a Metro Rail System will be preferred.
Post No.3: Assistant General Manager (Architect)- No. of posts 1.
He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Architecture) engineering graduate having minimum 10 years of
experience and out of which 5 years experience in planning of elevated Metro stations layouts,
Metro Station Designs and checking conformity of station layout to NFPA standards. Candidates
having experience of designing large number of elevated Metro stations which are in operation
will be preferred.
Post No.4: Manager (Civil)- No. of posts 5.
He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Civil) engineering graduate having minimum 7 years of experience in
Planning & Construction of Multi-Storied Buildings / Framed Structures involving pile foundation,
mass RCC works and pre-stressed concrete. Preference will be given to candidates having
experience in construction of Viaducts, elevated stations and Depot cum workshops on Metro Rail
System.
Post No.5: Deputy Manager (Civil) No. of posts 5.
He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Civil) engineering graduate having minimum 5 years of experience in
Planning & Construction of Multi-Storied Buildings / Framed Structures involving pile foundation,
mass RCC works and pre-stressed concrete. Preference will be given to candidates having
experience in construction of Viaducts, elevated stations and Depot cum workshops on Metro Rail
System.

Post No.6: Assistant Manager (Civil) No. of posts 5.


He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Civil) engineering graduate having minimum 3 years of experience in
Planning & Construction of Multi-Storied Buildings / Framed Structures involving pile foundation,
mass RCC works and pre-stressed concrete. Preference will be given to candidates having
experience in construction of Viaducts, elevated stations and Depot cum workshops on Metro Rail
System.
Post No.7: Engineer (Civil) No. of posts .
He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Civil) engineering graduate having minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant
experience and for checking of reinforcement, survey, concrete, bill verification, quality on site,
maintenance of day to day progress report, checklist, pour cards etc. Candidates having experience
in construction of Viaducts, Pile Foundation, Pier Construction, Casting Yard, Launching of Girder
for segment launching etc., on Metro Rail System will be preferred.

Post No.8: Deputy Manager (Electrical - Traction) No. of posts 1.


He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electrical) engineering graduate having minimum 5 years experience
in Electrical design, planning, preparation of Technical Specifications, Installations, testing &
commissioning of Receiving Substations, traction, auxiliary substation and distribution works in a
Metro Rail System. Knowledge of procedures & electrical safety regulations is desirable.
Post No.9: Deputy Manager (Electrical E & M) No. of posts 1.
He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electrical) engineering graduate having minimum 5 years experience
in design / specifications, installations, testing & commissioning of stations of Electrical
distribution system, Fire detection, Alarm and Fire Suppression works, Air-Condition of Buildings,
SCADA works, Lift / Escalator erection etc. Candidates having relevant experience on elevated
stations of a Metro Rail Project will be preferred.
Post No.10: Deputy Manager (Electrical Signaling) No. of posts 1
He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electronics & Communication) engineering graduate having minimum
5 years of experience in design / specifications, installation, Testing & Commissioning of Signaling
System works in Railway Systems. Candidates having relevant experience on a Metro Rail System
will be preferred.

Post No.11: Assistant Manager (Electrical - Traction) No. of posts 1.


He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electrical) engineering graduate having minimum 3 years experience
in Electrical design, planning, preparation of Technical Specifications, Installations, testing &
commissioning of Receiving Substations, traction, auxiliary substation and distribution works in a

System works in Railway Systems. Candidates having relevant experience on a Metro Rail System
will be preferred.
Post No.13: Assistant Manager (Telecom ) No. of posts 1.
He must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electronics & Communication) engineering graduate having minimum
3 years of experience in design / specifications, installation, Testing & Commissioning of Telecom
System works in Railway Systems. Candidates having relevant experience on a Metro Rail System
will be preferred.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. ON CONTRACT

Exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates can be considered for higher compensation
package.
The compensation package would be increased every year by 5 to 10 % based on performance review
at the end of each year.

Further the selected candidates will be extended medical and personal accident insurance cover and
reimbursement of outpatient medical expenses as per MEGA Rules will be provided.

2. CONTRACT APPOINTMENT
1. The Contract Appointment will be initially for 3 years, extendable to 5 years.
2. The contract of appointment may be terminated by either side by giving 30 days (up-to Manager
Cadre) or 90 days (Sr. Manager & Above Cadre) notice or by paying the contractual remuneration in
lieu of notice period, if the circumstances so warrant.

3. CONDITIONS
1. Candidates who have appeared for interviews conducted by MEGA for the above said posts on an
earlier occasion need not send their applications again unless there is a change in the eligibility
criteria.
2. Prescribed qualifications are the minimum requirements and mere possession of the same does
not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
3. The experience is post qualification and the minimum required. Mere possession of minimum
experience does not confer any right for interview / selection.
4. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with
regard to selection/appointment shall be a disqualification.

4. SELECTION
1.

2. Any candidate found guilty of impersonation or submitting fabricated documents or making


statements, which are false or incorrect or indulging in suppression of facts, attempts to use unfair
means for the purpose of recruitment, will be liable for rejection.
3. The candidate shall have to indicate his/her acceptance to the offer within fifteen days from the
receipt of offer, if not; next candidate in order of merit will be offered the appointment on similar
lines. However, the Competent Authority may grant such extension of time depending upon the
exigencies, if so requested.

5. MISCELLANEOUS
1. Original Documents in support of qualification and relevant experience shall be submitted along
with the Resume at the time of interview. Non-submission of documents along with the Resume, will
lead to rejection of candidature at any stage during the process of recruitment.
2. MEGA shall not be liable for any damage / injury / loss to the individual, if any, sustained during the
entire recruitment process and journey.
3. Management reserves the right to assess fitness or otherwise of the candidates selected.
