Tier 4 (General) visa application guide

Please ensure you read relevant Tier 4 Policy Guidance and Tier 4 supporting
Documents Guidance before completing the application form.
In addition to your course fees you are liable for your living expenses and
accommodation for which you should allow a minimum of 7,400 per year.
If you have paid 50% deposit of your tuition you should have the remaining 50%
balance of your tuition fees plus your living expenses (7,400) in your bank
account or your sponsors bank account for a minimum period of 28 days before
you apply for your visa.
If you have a 10%, 15% or 25% scholarship you will be required to pay your
tuition in full. In this case, you will only need to show 7,400 in your bank
account or your sponsors bank account for a minimum period of 28 days before
you apply for your visa.
Balance of tuition fee and living expenses should be in YOUR BANK ACCOUNT or
either of YOUR PARENTS or SPOUSE (if you are married) only.
Please note that you are NOT ALLOWED to use your siblings or other relatives
e.g. uncle or aunty as sponsor as visa will not be issued.
The bank statement submitted should not be more than a month old at the time
of application.

Students sponsored by parents based on their business bank accounts/statements
can only be accepted if company has overseas operations.
You have to submit all original educational documents listed in you CAS letter with
your visa application. If a document is not listed you do not need to submit it.
Please note that applicants who use fraudulent document will be detected and
banned from further applications to the UK for up to 10 years. Such applicants will
incur administrative charges if we have to refund their initial deposits.
Please ensure that you make your visa application on time and that you comply
with the UKBA visa regulations to guarantee you get your visa and arrive at the
University in good time for your studies.
Once your visa is granted you may arrive in the UK up to 1 month prior to the
start date of the course.
Under no circumstances should you use the CAS number twice if your initial
application was refused. Please contact us immediately and send us a copy
of your visa refusal letter for further advice.
