A pierre vue
A pierre vue association provides accommodation in a rural house in the
Limousin, in the heart of a countryside landscape favourable to writing and
very near the commanders residency of the temlars of Paulhac. The
association wants the residency to be a place of meeting and mediation and
facilities the creation of joint and interdisciplinary arts projects. The residency
has a special interest in works related to the Limousin and to its human and
territorial realities.

Marnay Art Centre
The Camac Association is located very close to the village of Marnay, on the
banks of the river Seine. It develops an in-residence programme with a view
to bringing artists from around the world and from all spheres together.
Residents must pay a fee of around 1100 euros to cover part of the inresidence expenses, the other part being covered by the Association.
Interdisciplinary projects with science or new technologies are encouraged.

The Cantagal centre, close to the small village of Saint-Privat, provides a calm
environment to artists from various spheres in an exceptional natural
environment. Cantagal offers the opportunity to its residents to reflect and
work in quiet and peace and to experiment new modes of interaction between

As its name indicates, this association, located in a large renovated farmschool South of Sologne, aims at bringing all generations together and
fighting against social exclusion by providing a friendly space for meetings
and dialogue. The gte provides accommodation for people of all nationalities,
without any age or social class conditions, whilst Espace des artistes is open
only to creators, whatever their sphere. Workshops, debates and meetings
are set up.

The Federation provides accommodation for writers from all fields as well as
for researchers in various places of abode in the Department with a view to
decentralising its in-residence programme. This effort is supported by
territorial authorities and many other cultural institutions in Ctes-dArmor.
The association organises several events, such as meetings and readings,
usually accompanied by the publication of work for the promotion of its
activities.

Fondation Albert-Gleizes
In keeping with the famous painter's ideal community, the Albert-Gleizes
Foundation, in Sablons, develops an in-residence programme which is
reserved for visual arts artists every summer and open to artists from all
spheres the rest of the year. Set in a boatmans house on the banks of the
Rhne river, the Foundation, which receives support from the regional
authorities and DRAC, provides accommodation facilities for five people, an
exhibition hall and a library. The place, due to its location and its privileged
setting is ideal for arts reflection and creation.

This grant programme is meant to support writers who wish to work on their
project within the framework of a literary programme, drawn up in
collaboration with the organisation offering the residency. These grants are
available to published, non-French writers. They must either write in or
be translated into French. In addition, their manuscript must be
published and/or be professionally represented. The residency must be
the subject of an agreement between the welcoming structure and the writer,
and concern a limited number of structures.

La Belle Auriole
La Belle Auriole is a Catalan farmhouse built in the 17 th century at the foot of
the Pyrnes and Corbires mountains, in the Cathar land, 45 minutes from
Perpignan. Set amongst garrigues, vineyards and pine woods, the farmhouse
provides an unobstructed view of the Opoul Castle, a listed monument. The
association provides accommodation for artists from all spheres from across
the world in this exceptional landscape.

La fraternelle
(Brotherhood)
The association La fraternelle aims at renovating the Maison du peuple
(Peoples House) in Saint-Claude, a small town in upper Jura. This building,
which is in the complementary list of historic monuments, is a former food cooperative, created in 1881 by the Cercle ouvrier (Working Society) of SaintClaude. It now hosts, in a movie complex consisting of three auditoriums, a
plastic and graphic arts workshop and a gallery, as well as an amateur theatre
company, a famous jazz club, as well as a resource centre on the cooperative
labour movement of higher Jura and a cafe. Finally, the association provides
in-residence arrangements for poets, playwrights and research workers.

La Maison Verte
(The Green House)
Built in 1830 in the vine-growing village of Roujan, La Maison Verte is a
place of abode for holidaymakers and a space for creation at the same time,
in that its residents hold creative writing workshops. Amateur artists anxious
to work in a calm environment are usually accommodated also. It provides a
workshop for painters, sculpters, musicians and actors, hosts seminars and
conferences, and can even accommodate public performances for an
audience of 150 persons.

(The Merry-go-round)
Le Mange, Scne Nationale (National Theatre) provides a creative writing
workshop. One of the last projects of this workshop Ecrire ma ville (Writing
my town) led to the remaking of a whole city (La Roche-sur-Yon), through the
filter of dreams and arts, by its inhabitants and professional authors. Resident
writers have contributed in this common project, alongside the local people,
districts, associations and schools.

old village of the Cabards wine-growing region, set on a rocky spur, topped
by a Roman church flanked by its priory. The residency aims at providing
peace and quiet to the resident writer for him/her to work. The Lettres du
Cabards with "Le Temps qu'il fait" publishing house, can publish texts
written in-residence.

An in-residence programme. The goal, known and approved by the writer,
was to turn this place into a writer's house, a place in favour of culture and
memory open to the greatest number of people. The house and Vzelay

Provides accommodation in the house where the author of Sang noir was
born in Saint-Brieuc, for novelists, poets and writers of young people's
literature as well as researchers. With the support of the Municipality, the
authorities of the Department and the Region, the association facilitates
exchanges between its residents and artists and sets up various cultural
events. At the end of their stay, the Maison publishes residents' works under
the form of a book-object, a residency act or, in very exceptional cases, a
book.

Built in 1633, a former dwelling of Franciscan friars, the state converted it into
an author-in-residence establishment in 1988. Hosts writing retreat sessions,
seminars, reading, creative writing and translation workshops, exhibitions,
concerts, debates.

Cvennes. The estate was formerly a spinning mill and covers 25 hectares in
meadows and woods. The Vigan city, enriched by the presence of many

The Triangle stands out by the continuous mediation it carries out between
contemporary artists and the audience through the exploration of poetry
writing, considered as the vector of the cultural development of the district and
of the whole city. Resident poets accommodated by the association are given
the chance to participate in meetings and lectures while bringing their writing
project to completion in an ideal context for work at the same time. Texts may
