serving pure and germ free water for decades now. It is the most trusted brand of bottled
water in India. Bisleri was founded by Felice Bisleri in 1965. It was then bought by Parle in
1969. It is popular brand of drinking water preferred by most of the population in India. The
main headquarters of the brand is at Bisleri Andheri Office. The brand serves scientifically
purified and fortified drinking water. It is available at the common general stores and is very
affordable too. In fact it has become a generic name in the category of bottled mineral water.
The company has 17 plants and 11 franchisees all over India and Bisleri, Mumbai is one of
them. As an initiative taken under Aqua Green Revolution, Bisleri stores 10 billion litres' of

Bisleri bottles were first sold in glass bottles. It was later on sold in PVC containers and
finally in PET containers. The bottles are packed from the Bisleri factory, Andheri (east),
Mumbai. The bottles are then distributed in the various parts of India. It's bottles are available
in 8 pack sizes - 250ml cups, 250ml bottles, 500ml, 1 litre, 1.5 litres, 2 litres, 5 litres, and 20
litres. The brand is a household name. Every drop of water in the it's bottle is purified through
a 6-step process. From color, odor to the removal of harmful salts and minerals, every minute
drop is well examined. The water is then tested during the bottling and storing process in
order to prevent any accidental contamination.
The composition of Bisleri Water in milligrams per litre (mg/l) includes160-TDS, 7.2-ph
factor, 13.6-Calcium, 22-Chlorides, 58-Bicarbonate, 7.8-Magnesium, 2-Nitrate, 19.3Sulphates and 66.1-Hardness. According to this brand of bottled water, the minerals such as
magnesium sulphate and potassium bicarbonate are essential minerals for healthy living and
not only maintain the pH balance of the body but also help in keeping one fit and energetic at
all times. This brand has also introduced Vedica Mountain Water. This brand uses Himalayan
water from a natural spring, located in Uttaranchal nestled in the vast Shivalik Mountain
ranges and it is further flavored with herbs and minerals to give additional benefits. Vedica is

cont. Bisleri was originally an Italian company created by Felice Bisleri, who
first brought the idea of selling bottled water in India. Bisleri then was introduced
in Mumbai in glass bottles in two varieties bubbly & still in 1965. Parle bought
over Bisleri (India) Ltd. in 1969 and started bottling water in glass bottles under the
brand name Bisleri. The brand name Bisleri is so popular in India that it is used

process adopted by Bisleri is batch production. The time taken to fill one bottle is
approximately 5 minutes. The workers work in 3 shifts which comprises of 60- 70
workers per shift. The maintenance of the machines is done every19 month and

WASTE MANAGEMENT PET garbage is purchased about 5000 kg every


month, processed it and sold it to other companies . PET waste can be recycled
into carpets, car parts, fabrics, Fiberfil (for products like pillows and jackets), etc.

PURIFICATION PROCESS It takes a lot to bring out the sweet taste of purity.

stringent 6-step purification process. First,groundwater is ozonized to destroy virus
and bacteria.The next step of purification involves a sand filter which removes coarse
