INTRODUCTION
The Kyocera Mita KM-1820LA Segment 1 MFP is designed for small workgroup environments. The KM-1820LA
features a standard Print Controller, standard Network Functionality, Monochrome and Color Scanning, 96MB of
Standard Memory, and optional Fax Capability.

Learning Center on KMAconnect (Technical Training)

Online Technical Training is available for the KM-1820LA. Simply log onto KMAconnect and
browse to the Learning Center and locate the course. Technicians will be automatically
certified once they complete the online course and pass the Test. A Certificate of completion
will be forwarded within a few weeks after achieving the passing grade.
Each Technician that will be taking an on-line course must have their own Log-in
Name and Password so that the Certificates and the Dealer training records are
processed correctly.

For your convenience, a KM-1820LA CD-ROM Training Kit will be available using P/N
8992GM60, price $100.00. However we recommend using the Learning Center on KMAconnect
which is available at no charge.

A Starter Toner Cartridge is included with the KM-1820. Yield is approx. 3,000 pages based on 6%
coverage using ISO10561 Pattern B.
The Process Unit replacement yield will be lower if your printed/copied documents have more than a
6% fill. Replace the Process Unit when C-7980 or E-31 is displayed due to the waste toner collection
system reaching its capacity.

MEMORY SPECIFICATIONS
The KM-1820 is standard-equipped with 64MB of Built-in Memory and one 32MB DIMM in the
one slot. The KM-1820 can be expanded up to a maximum of 320MB (64MB + 256MB DIMM).
Maximum Memory can be achieved by removing the 32MB standard DIMM and adding one
256MB DIMM. 320MB is necessary to support full color scan in high resolution.
