Answer: It will be a group class, according to their grade levels. Its not necessary
for your child to bring his instrument. There will be lectures and practical tests.
But the application will be on their piano, keyboard, guitar and voice lessons.
Answer: The course is progressive. As much as possible the student must have
attended the first to second session of the course to continue. A student may
enrol according to his applied music grade level.
Answer: Yes, but in Music Theory the students will become more familiar with
music vocabulary words and of what they are playing. An example is that the
students will be able to demonstrate confidence and firm understanding of major
and minor scales and chords as they play them.
Answer: Music theory training starts with learning the vocabulary and language
of music. Each element can be understood as written in music notation, on the
instrument, and when heard in sound. These three ways of knowing and
understanding are not easily connected because the paths of learning differ for
each. The combination of music theory lessons with instrument study and ear
training tend to make the most progress and creates BALANCE for musicians
because these skills reinforce one another.
