PROJECT:
Project Title: Finger Print Based Vehicle Security System
Duration: Oct 2006 - Feb 2007
Project Description :
The fingerprint based vehicle security system is implemented using an
embedded micro controller. The embedded micro controller used here is
P89C51RD2BN, which is operated under 4.5 to 5.5 volts. Its crystal frequency is
about 11.059MHz. It is from the family of 8051 micro controllers whose
architecture and instructions are same as that of 8051 micro controller.
Fingerprint sensor is the security module we used here. The fingerprint of the
owner is stored in the embedded controller. The system is programmed to ask to
put the fingertip on the fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor senses the
fingerprint of the person and stores the corresponding values in the memory of
32-bit RISC processor. The value corresponding to the fingerprint is transferred
from RISC processor to the embedded micro controller. The embedded controller
is programmed to decide whether the fingerprint corresponds to authorized
person or not. If it is authorized it allows the user to take the vehicle out.
Otherwise alarming circuit is switched on for identification of theft.
