Examination&Evaluation

Assignment/Continuous/InternalEvaluation

PGDCCstudentswillbeevaluatedperiodicallythroughassignment/continuous/internal
evaluationforalltheoryandpracticalcourses.Theevaluationwillbeconductedatthe
respectiveProgrammeStudyCentrewithpriornotice.Studentsareneededtopassinall
coursesseparately.Ifanystudentfailedintheinternalexaminationwhichisconductedby
therespectivePSCsthenhe/shewillbenoteligibleforwritingtheory(inthatparticular
course)aswellaspracticalTermEndExamination.InthiscasethePICssendthereportto
theRegistrar,StudentEvaluationDivision(SED)andProgrammeCoordinatoroftheresultof
internalevaluationandtheattendanceofprevious6monthsor1yearbefore15thMayfor
Juneexamandbefore15thNovemberforDecemberTermEndExamination.Candidates
mayfilluptheoryexamformbuttheHallticketwillbenotissuedfortheparticularcourse(in
whichhe/shefailedininternalexamination)orentirecourse(incaseofshortageof
attendance).Insuchscenariotheywillbedelayedfor6monthsfortheparticularstudent.
Anotherinternalexaminationneedstobeconductedfortheparticularstudent/sforparticular
course(inwhichhe/shefailed)after6monthsbeforenexttermendexamination.Itwas
requestedthatallthePICcontinuetomaintainthequalityofthetrainingintheirrespective
institutions.Allfactsneedtobecommunicatedtothestudentsatthebeginning.
Thestudentswouldbeexpectedtopasseachofthetheoryandthepracticalseparatelyboth
incontinuous/internalevaluationaswellasTermEndExamination.Theminimumpass
percentageforboththeoryandpracticalwouldbefiftypercent.Therewillbeoffiftypercent
weightageforcontinuousevaluationandfiftypercentweightageforTermEndExamination
forboththeoryandpracticalcourses.Theinternalassessmentofthetheoryaswellas
practicalcomponentwillbeconductedbythecounsellorslocatedatthePSC.The
counsellorsandProgrammeinchargewillmakeanobjectiveandsubjectiveassessmentof
yourunderstandingandperformanceofknowledgeandskillforboththeoryandpractical
courses.
Thetermendtheoryexaminationofthefirstyeartheorycourseswillbeaftertheendoffirst
year.Thestudentpassedinthefirstyeartheorycourses(MCC001,MCC002,MCC003
andMCC004)afterthathe/shewillappearonlyinsecondyeartheorycourses(MCC005,
MCC006andMCC007)attheendofthesecondyear.Ifhe/shedoesnotpassattheendof
thefirstyearthenhe/shemayagaingivetheexaminationafterthesixmonthoftheinitial
termendexaminations.StudentcanappearthesecondyearTermendexaminationwithout
passingallthecoursesoffirstyeartermendexamination.Thestudentswouldberequiredto
maintainlogbookswhichwillbesignedbeforetheywillbeallowedtoappearfortheirTerm
EndPracticalExamination.Thetermendpracticalexaminationwillbeheldaftercompletion
oftwoyearstraining(24monthsoftraining).Passingininternalassessmentofallthe
practicalcoursesseparatelyisaprerequisiteforappearingintheTermendPractical
examination.Fortermendpracticalexamination,therewillbeoneinternalandoneexternal
examiner.

TermendTheoryExamination

Theexaminationofthefirstyeartheorycourseswillbeaftertheendofthetrainingoffirst
year.Ifthestudentpassedinthefirstyeartheorycourses(MCC001,MCC002,MCC003
andMCC004)thenhewillappearonlyinsecondyeartheorycourses(MCC005,MCC006
andMCC007)attheendofthesecondyear.Ifhedoesnotpassattheendofthefirstyear
thenhemayagaingivetheexaminationafterthesixmonthoftheinitialtermend
examinations.
Resultwillnotbedeclaredifexaminationdivisionreceiveanykindofcomplainlike,
shortageofattendanceagainstanystudent.

StudentEvaluationDivision(SED),IGNOU,MaidanGarhi,MewDelhi110068ORSubmit
theexaminationformtotheIGNOURegionalCentre.Studentsareencouragetofillupthe
onlineformforthetheoryexamination.

TermendPracticalExamination/Evaluation

TheFormforTermEndPracticalExaminationneedstofillaftercompletionof24monthsof
thetraininginthePGDCCprogramme.StudentsarerequestedtosubmitthePractical
ExaminationformtotheirrespectiveProgrammeIncharge(PIC).PICwillexamineand
furthersendthepracticalexaminationformtotheRegionalDirectoralongwiththe
attendancecertificate,Completionoftraininginallthecoursesandresultofcontinuous
evaluationofallthecourses.ThereisnofeeforthePracticalTermEndExamination.
FollowingarethethreeprerequisiterequirementstoappearintheTermEndpractical
examination.
1.Passedinallthetheoryandpracticalinternalevaluationseparately.
2.Completionoftraininginalltherespective6practicalcourseswithprescribedduration.
3.Attendancecertificateshowingmorethan85percentattendanceintheoryaswellas
practicaltraining.
StudentsarerequestedtoattachthesecertificatesalongwiththeformofTermendPractical
examination.Studentshavetodeposittheformwiththerespectiveprogrammeincharge.
Fortermendpracticalexamination,thenumberofexaminerwillbedependinguponthe
numberofthestudents.Theinternalexaminerswillbefromthesameprogrammestudy
centreandtheexternalexaminerswillbethecounsellorsfromotherIGNOUprogramme
studycentres(forPGDCCProgramme)ofotherProgrammeStudyCentre.Theirnameswill
bedecidedbyStudentEvaluationDivision(SED)inconsultationwiththeSchoolofHealth
Sciences(SOHS).AnobserverfromIGNOUmayalsobepresent.Thepracticaltermend
examinationwillbeheldonlyaftercompletionoftwoyearstrainingofrespectivebatchofthe
