Afterediting,youshouldwriteorsaveyourchanges
asnecessary.
Forexampleifyouveeditedaprogram,yourchanges
willbelostifyouselectanotherprogramorturnoff

Using Controllers
Inadditiontousingthekeyboard,themicroSTATION
letsyoucontrolthesoundbyusingthejoystick,knobs
14,damperpedal,andfootswitchorfootpedal.
Therealtimecontrolsconsistsoffourknobsandtwo
buttons(SELECTandEXTERNAL).
Thesecontrolsletyoumodifythetone,pitch,volume,
effects,etc.inrealtimeasyouplay.

(awayfromyourself),anddown(towardsyourself).
Eachofthefourdirectionscanbeusedtocontrola
differentfunction,suchasmodulatingProgramor

routingoftheseeffects.Allofthesearestereoin/out.

controlledinrealtimefromthemicroSTATIONs

Thearpeggiatorisafunctionthatautomatically
generatesarpeggios(patternsofindividualnotes
derivedfromachord).Mostarpeggiatorsproducean
arpeggiowhenyouplayachordonthekeyboard.
ThemicroSTATIONsarpeggiatorisalsopolyphonic,
andcanproduceavarietyofchordaltransformationsor
phrasesbasedonthepitchortimingofthenotesyou
playonthekeyboard.Thesefunctionsletyouusethe
arpeggiatortoplayawiderangeofpatternsincluding
drumorbassphrases,andguitarorkeyboardbacking
riffs.Itisalsoeffectivetousethearpeggiatoraspartof
thesounddesignprocesswhencreatingsubtlymoving
pads,synthsounds,orsoundeffects.
ThemicroSTATIONsDualArpeggiatorfeaturelets
youusetwosimultaneousarpeggiopatternsin
Combinationmode,andSequencermode.Youcan
takeadvantageofthisinmanyways,includinga
separatearpeggiopatternforadrumprogram,and
anotherappliedtoabassprogram,orusinga
keyboardsplitorvelocitytoswitchbetweentwo
