IMPLEMENTATION

Relative to the 2015 implementation of the Special Program for Employment of

Students (SPES), please be advised that the National Statistical Coordination Board
(NSCB) is yet to publish the latest annual poverty threshold for 2015 sometime first
semester of this year.
As a basis of eligibility, the students combined net income after tax of parents,
including his or her, if any, shall not exceed the latest annual regional poverty
threshold level for a family of six (6) as determined and provided by the National
Economic Development Authority (NEDA), as stated under Rule III, Section 1(b) of
the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 9547.
Thus, the 2012 issuance/publication as indicated below, and as updated on 1st
semester of 2013, be used as the basis in computing the annual regional poverty
threshold for the implementation of SPES in the regions, pending the publication of
the 2015 annual poverty threshold.

ANNUAL POVERTY TRESHOLD FOR SIX (6) FAMILY MEMBERS is the product of
the average monthly poverty threshold (AMPTF6) multiplied by 12 months. The basis
of the computation was derived from the data published and updated on 09
December 2013, by the National Statistical Coordination Board of the Philippine
Statistics Authority under NEDA (Highlights of the 2012 Full Year Official Poverty
Statistics Item #2, Table 3 Per Capita Poverty Threshold and Poverty Incidence
among Families: 2006, 2009 and 2012 or visit
