Sir,
Greetings and belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I write this letter in response to your letter dated November 5, 2014 which we received one
month later from 2GO Express. I attached together with this letter the disbursement vouchers
since S.Y. 2012-2013. I am also writing this letter to inform you that I wasn't able to meet the
scholastic requirements of your scholarship program.
I was able to take six subjects during summer classes of the past two years, because I wanted to
finish my course in four years. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pass two of my major subjects last
1st semester of this school year. I sincerely apologize for failing my duties and responsibilities as
your scholar, for being unable to fully give all my time in my studies due to some reasons I hope
and pray that you would understand and consider. It was during that semester, sometime in the
month of July, when my father was admitted to the hospital for more than a week due to his
internal organs, and I needed to do my duties by helping him in his situation and in his hospital
bills. Our grandfather also died two months ago that made us encounter a lot of problems too we
thought we couldnt overcome. We do not have electricity in our home for years which make it
hard also, but trying to handle. It was during that semester when my father, a laborer of
Provincial General Services Office who has not been receiving his salaries for two years already,
badly needed my help in his administrative case in the Civil Services Commission against his
boss. I helped him by typing and rechecking all of his affidavit papers he needed to submit to the
CSC Regional VII Office, to the Ombudsman, etc. and by accompanying him to the notary
public, since my father is a PWD (Person With Disabilities) being one who is deaf. As his
daughter, I wanted to help him seek justice.
In our university's accountancy program, the students taking up such course are given a chance to
retake the major subject/s that the students weren't able to pass, but only limited to a one-time
retake. I would like to ask for a second and last chance, Sir. Your scholarship grant is a huge help
to my parents who are PWDs because of the tuitions you are shouldering every semester and the
allowances you are giving that greatly helped my family's day-to-day needs. Please give me a
second chance to prove myself and to continue my studies with the help of your good office. If
granted the chance, I would be the most grateful person in the world and I promise that I will do
my best not to fail you for giving me a chance. I promise that I will do my best in the next
semesters to submit good grades.
Hoping for your understanding and kindest consideration on these matters.
Thank you for your time and more power!

Sincerely yours,

DIANA KRISTINA CASSANDRA E. ZERNA
