Livelihood Specialist
Plan International is to implement a 24-month multi-sectoral project that will provide
access to emergency employment and livelihood support. The project aims to mitigate the
adverse social and economic impacts on the poor resulting from Typhoon Yolanda in selected
municipalities in the Eastern Visayas. The projected outcome is for the populations in 74 poor
municipalities affected by Typhoon Yolanda have access to emergency support and early
recovery systems, and be more resilient during future disasters.
The incumbent will be responsible for the food security and livelihood component of the
project which has a wide range of activities including Cash for Work, Unconditional Cash
Transfer, livelihood recovery, skills training and community based enterprise development. The
position will be based in Tacloban City.
Qualifications:
Has at least five years work experience in implementing a food security and livelihood
program. Experience on rural livelihoods and cash for work programmes in the
Philippines would be an asset.
Has three years experience in a supervisory role.
Is able to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Has ability to maintain strategic vision and link with everyday work.
Has practical experience in the application of Sphere, HAP, INEE, NGO/Red Cross
Code of Conduct and other relevant standards preferred.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
