R-Value and Long Term Thermal Resistance
Polyiso Values
Long Term Thermal Resistance (LTTR), effective January 1, 2014 with the change in ASTM C1289, is
defined as the value of insulation measured after storage for five years under a controlled environment. The aged value is equivalent to the time-weighted average over 15 years. The previous R-Value
was determined by a 6 month conditioning report. Babcock-Davis suggest that design professionals
use LTTR/inch as a design specification.

The stock standard Personnel II Roof Hatch is redesigned
with OSHA life safety in mind and provide easy access to roof
areas. Available in select models, its simple to install and
operate, OSHA compliant, stays cooler and conserves energy.

The Safety Post is designed in compliance to OSHA to
extend 42 inches above a landing platform to provide safe
ladder access through a roof hatch. The spring assisted
telescoping design mounts to the top two rungs of a fixed
vertical ladder.
Babcock-Davis OSHA compliant Safety Railing is ideal for

new and retrofit applications. The safety railing mounts to the
existing roof hatch curb counterflash without penetrating the
membrane.

Providing natural daylighting, the Single Door SunLit Smoke Vent
is engineered with a translucent cover. This smoke vent includes
a color multiwall panel and optional domes that are ideal for use
in factory, storage and warehouse commercial buildings.

for new and retrofit applications. The safety railing
mounts to the existing smoke vent curb counterflash
without penetrating the membrane.

product, is designed to aid in fall protection. This
sturdy screen, spaced 4 inch apart with fully welded
intersections is available on new installations as a
factory install option on each smoke vent. Third
party tested to comply with OSHA 1926.502c with
a drop test of 400 pounds of 30 inch diameter
sandbag from 42 inch high.
